I need to take off the old loo seat and replace it with a new one as the old one is DISGUSTING to say the least, however trying to remove the bots underneath to take it off is difficult as its rusted and wont undo.
any suggestions as to how i can undo the bolts to replace it with my nice new, never been touched by a boy/man who cant aim properly loo seat.
thanks

Can you try giving them a bit of a clean with some kitchen roll, then sandpaper and then spraying on some WD40 or similar?
Edit: and I thought the same as TryingToBeOldStyle!0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I thought the same!
If the WD40 etc doesn't work you could always get a junior hacksaw and saw them offAs my dad always used to say 'Just because you've got the money doesn't mean to say you have to spend it all at once'0 -
We once got an old loo seat off by sawing through the plastic hinge bits on the top with a hacksaw, and then sawing through the plastic bits holding the bolts on on the top. We were then able to gently hammer the rusty bolts through so that they dropped out of the bottom. It was a bit brutal (and it took ages as we went really slowly so we didn't break the loo) but it got the seat off. The nuts and bolts were totally rusted together and it really was the only way to get it off, and the seat was so disgusting that it had to go.0

We had the same problem once when we moved into a house. I tried WD40 but still no joy so I ended up getting a hacksaw and cutting through the bolts on the top.
I also thought someone was actually stuck on a loo, I was imagining an accident involving superglue on the loo seat.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
have been and borrowed some wd40 from a neighbour, will give that a few goes tonight and if it doesnt work will get the hacksaw out tomorrow. thanks everyone.0

I am sure you did not mean that but it is quite a thought and appropriate in view of the subject.:rotfl:0
