Sorry Harrietxxx I seem to have offended you. I was trying to be be helpful. I had searched the thread for you looking for references to tampons/towels and post 950 and those following discussed the issue with various posts. I was trying to point you to the place you could read various other peoples experiences to fully answer your question. I like the fact that this thread is helpful and I was trying to give something back to it.

Ignore me, I am a tired crabby old bag, thanks for your help.:T

I did a clothes shop today, used all the usual coupons but would only take 1 quit £6 although I definitely spent over £60. I find in my stores it is usually only one of each type of Tesco voucher that the till will accept, although I did use all four of my esquire that run out today.

Harrietxxx, have you tried jumbling the vouchers up, always works for me.

Also could I suggest for you & DuskyKitten, spend those £2.00 off £8.00 spend healthcare coupons ( That we can't get rid of :D ) on some PMT vitamins, like evening primrose oil e.t.c. :rotfl:

Honestly only joking, glad you've made up. Life is seriously too short.

I knew those healthcare coupons would come in handy sometime, are there any high strength on BOGOF? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

SA's at the pharmacy have now got rid of all the Quit kit packs and have just displayed the booklets. No sign of the coupons.

Still available at customer services, though.

I am convinced some tills have been 'fixed' I have tried jumbling coupons, different orders and they only accept one of each type. Both my stores are the really large Extra types - maybe that has something to do with it?

I definitely agree, I have had this with the beauty and toiletry quits, the clothing quits and the old H&B vouchers even when I have enough spend, and I always shuffle them up well.

There have been some comments on the Tesco H & B coupon thread that vouchers from the quit packs have been missing.

Well, today I was talking to someone I know who works in Tesco. She said that the manager at her store uses the vouchers out of the Quit packs (and others) to deliberately gain credit from head office when they have not really been used by customers!!!! Apparently he sees it as a way of offsetting some of the store's "leakage" and making his figures look better in the process.

Thought it was the customer Mr T was targeting with "Every Little Helps" - not managers whose stores are showing too much "leakage." Wonder if this is a local thing or is going on nationally?

Wonder if area managers are aware of such conduct and just turn a blind eye to it at customers expense?!!!
Mr. T - Stop overcharging your customers.

This goes on in many supermarkets , not usually condoned by managers. I have known supervisors correct tills that are short by adding unused vouchers to the till. I have also known cashiers who were caught putting vouchers in their till and taking out cash. It is obviously against supermarkets policy and in some cases is out and out theft - certainly not worth getting sacked over.
