Wow if all you people have got to worry about is if the Postman shuts your gate you really do lead a charmed life.

Where did they say that was the only thing they need to worry about? Stop trying to be a big keyboard warrior.

Yup, if it bothered me enough to make a post about it on here, I'd have been bothered enough to spend a tenner on 2 gate springs and 10 minutes fitting them.No more gate related stress.

Our postmen delivers parcels when he hasn't even got them lol. Ages ago I was waiting for a parcel that was in a poster tube. Well I went to go out but noticed the postie at the end of the street so thought I would wait, anyway he went to both houses either side and didn't come to ours so thought it would come the next day. Went to grab my phone and keys a few minutes later and noticed a card on the mat stating "we tried to deliver your parcel but you weren't home etc". Well clearly I was home but the sneaky postman left our house till last before posting the card through our door, quite silently I will add.

Anyway I went out and as I was driving out the street noticed him in the next street so took the card to him and asked for the parcel, obviously he didn't have it and tried to tell me another postie in a van had just collected it off him (less than 10 mins), highly unlikely, more likely he couldn't be bothered to carry it and had already written out the card.

I wouldn't mind but hes tried 3 times since and on the 3rd time as I waiting for the parcel I waited patiently, as he slipped the card through the door without even ringing the bell I caught him. No explanation or anything. Its just damn annoying that I have to go to the sorting office to collect something thats been paid for to be delivered.

Has anyone ever managed to get through to royal mail complaints department on the phone, everytime I try it just says "we are extremely busy" and cuts off lol
