Basically they "introduced" me to a lying robber who took my money and did a runner.
I have gone to the Chairman Terry Gray now and will be dealing with him in the future.
Ask yourself this - Would you deal with a company who "introduce" you to lyers who will take your money and run???
I don't think so.................
No I wouldn't, but unfortunately you did,I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I'm afraid i have to pull you up on that point. Vehicles in Japn do cover small mileages.
There will be the odd exception but i have personally bought from Jap Auction IBC 4 cars for myself and resale and helped a mare source 2 others.
All were ten years old to avoid the SVA test nightmare, afe ten years they basically need the clocks changed to miles(odometer not needed but advisable) and a fog light fitted.
All the ones i imported were very low mileage. Lowest was 18,000km's and the highest was 89,000km's.
All were mint underneath, inside and under the bonnet.
They pretty much looked 6 months old, actually they looked better underneath!
So I think your statement is made with little knowledge of theJapanese used car market.
There will be higher mileage cars, that is obvious, but in general the Japanese do tend to cover very low annual mileages.
Every vehicle also had clean oil and needed no mechanical work other than to get through the MOT.
I would bring in loads but the exchange rate has ruined the profit margins. Most of the merchants that still sell on Jap cars twnd to buy them at the Auctions in the docks in Southampton or Liverpool.
Popped in there once, what a load of shrapnel, they obviously bought Condition 2 or 3 for next to nothing hoping to sell them to the unwary.0 -

How did you verify the mileages?
''All were mint underneath, inside and under the bonnet.''
I should think so, cars made in Japan are probably the most durable and reliable in the world, lack of road salt means the non rustproofed underbodies stay clean and rustfree indefinately.
''They pretty much looked 6 months old, actually they looked better underneath!''
Exactly.
''So I think your statement is made with little knowledge of theJapanese used car market''.
Indeed you are welcome to your thoughts, unfortunately you don't know what i spent the last 20 years doing.
''There will be higher mileage cars, that is obvious, but in general the Japanese do tend to cover very low annual mileages.''
That's exactly the point, peruse grey imports for sale and the amazing low mileages involved stand out like a sore thumb.
''Every vehicle also had clean oil and needed no mechanical work other than to get through the MOT.''
As above, a well serviced Japanese built car will give donkeys years of good service, you know that as well as i do.

Indeed, as you picked me up on there are many grey imports with high mileages and poor overall condition, but by the time they end up in Joe Publics view they are often no longer high mileage, it doesn't happen all the time and no doubt there are genuine vehicles aplenty, but unless the punter is fluent in Japanese and is able to converse with the garage that serviced said vehicle how are they or indeed you to know.
In the 80's and early 90's MB's in particular were being bought here and exported to other countries, mainly Far East, like recent Japanese built cars these 80's MB's looked half their age and mileage, i have seen cars have their mileages reduced by 70% before being containered, do you really believe it doesn't happen the other way round.0 -
Do you seriously mean you can't tell the difference between a low mileage car and a clocked high miler.
You do understand how the auction system works in Japan?
Going by you comments I doubt it somehow.
And if you want to reply then please either reply using proper quotes or just reply with a post with your opinion as your last post makes no sense when you are trying to.read it on a smart phone.0 -
Bear in mind the japenese roads are littered with tolls, which has a major impact on the mileage of imports.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

OP, you did do the sensible thing and pay buy credit card or VISA debit card didn't you?. If so, then in either case, you can raise a section 75 (or is it 74, I can never remember) against the card issuer.Never Knowingly Understood.

My 90k motorway munching Mondeo looked like a new car when I went to buy it. No dirt in the engine bay, no signs of wear anywhere and even the steering wheel and pedal rubbers looked nearly new.
Cars no longer wear as bad as they used to as they are made from much more durable materials. You don't find them like my Capris with the drivers seat bolster leather worn completely through after 70k.0
