I'm tempted to order one for my bro. He has downs syndrome and a weight problem he lives independently with support so has to make his own choices with food and drink although he is advised. He is borderline diabetic. He loves fizzy drinks but they are so bad for him. It's his 40th brithday next month if I bought him this would I be doing him a favour or the opposite. I think he would add squash if that's what we showed him to do. He does get help with his weekly shop but does have money to spend as he wishes.

There are some is stock near me so any advise would be appreciated.

I recently bought one and my kids use it every day! At that price, it's a real bargain!

Plus it's good for the environment - no more bottles or cans to recycle!

The canisters are about £18 to buy but once you've got one, you can swap the empty one for a full replacement for a tenner.

You can do this by post or instore at certain Asdas.

Each one is enough for 60 litres, so a couple of months if you fizz up o e litre a day.

Really debating whether to get one of these! my friend had one when she was younger and I was jelous and always wanted one.....to buy or not to buy!!!
Also looking for an alternative as my little one always wants to try my fizzy drinks so this would be great to make it with sugar free squash and not a can full of caffeine!

Thanks for the help Fagashlil, i'm liking the idea of wine fizzing as i buy soda to add to my wine when i drink it.

And lots of time you just want some fizz, this way if you use juice no additives etc. Everytime the ad comes on my son says can we have one pleeeeeaaaasssse.

Thanks for the advice on healthy drinks using Soda Stream. I have reserved two, one for bro and one for our kids. OH will probably veto the one for us but we'll see.

Any more ideas on healthy ways to use this will be appreciated and may strengthen my argument to buy it too!
