any help please,
i gave my 30 days notice to virgin to cancel my internet hoping retentions would give me a call so i could get it cheaper, anyway long story short they offered me a deal but i left it to long to accept it. i rang virgin up on the day it was suppose to be diconnected asking to get through to thier retentions department when the lady said that my account had cancelled in the morning so i wouldnt be able to accept what they had offered me.
the thing is its now 4 days later and i can still use my internet even tho the cs lady said that my account was closed.:)
is there anyway virgin will find out i can still use it? and has anyone else had this happen to them?
ive looked all over the internet for any other happenings of this but non.
all info appreciated.

but the cs lady said it has been disconnected, and i said (stupidly) that it cant have been because it was still on, then she said it may go of at midnight but it didnt.
if im still connected then surley im still a customer and would be able to take up the retention deal i was offered, if i can get through to the retentions dept.0 -
You might get a better deal now as a new customer.0

It will just be a matter of time until it eventually switches off.
I can remember when my sister left Sky in the past, she was still getting the full tv package for about 2-3 months after she left.0 -

OP has to wait 12 months now before he can re-sign up unless they offer him a deal.I take it the OP is on DSL broadband & not cable?..It's normal for the internet to work for a few days afterwards as it takes a few days for the cease to come into affect. If it's cable, then the'll be a engineer going out to the cab to do a physical disconnect.0 -

as said when i phone them they said my connection had been disconnect and they give me the time it was disconnected. its with virgin broadband and they said i could reconnect at anytime.0 -
I would also query the issue of having to wait 12 months, l certainly didn't have to. I rejoined approx. 5 days after the connection date and ended up getting a better deal too.0

You can rejoin them at any time, but you won't get a "new customer" deals. Any deal you do get are at the discretion of the sales advisor you speak to.0
