Normal body temperature (write it out 10 times :p) is 37.9 oC.

I wouldn't worry too much about *exact* core temperatures, just be aware that taking it under the arm is likely to be a little cooler than the child really is.

The readings you got show that you do indeed have poorly kids rather than just tired/overexcited kids.

That's about all temperatures can tell you - unless you start to get readings way up- but even then you'd know you had VERY poorly kids from the other symptoms.

    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • sorry, but i think you'll find "normal" body temperature s 36.9 C. and was always advised to add about a degree if taken under arm.
