PINKY1989 - I think you need to re-read ALL your posts - it seems it is acceptable for you to hope that Hermonie gets fired and really be quite rude about customers who actually keep you in your job when all she was doing was trying to add her bit with the new craze of 1p items. Yes working in retail is hard but working in any field is hard these days but the attitude of blaming the customers when in fact it is the store and staffs fault that the items are out in the first place is pathetic. At the end of the day no customers mean no need for huge numbers of staff. Try and keep it real and if you are going to have a gom, don't back track and try to play the sympathy card once you realised how many people are supporting Hermonie!
I assume you have never taken advantage of any glitch at any store?? :cool:loves a good glitch :j0 -

i dont care who supports 'hermione' but when she signed her contract to work for whsmith, she signed a document stating that she wouldnt disclose any inside information outside of the business, to people who dont work there. im not playing any sympathy card but because of the type of store whsmith you get all the !!!! of the day come in, its aimed at almost everyone. we get abuse off customers for the prices of things when we arent even the ones making the prices! and things like that irritate me. and no i havent taken advantage of the penny stock listing, we get a lot of charities and schools looking for donations so thats what we do with our penny stock.
all im saying is that its frustrating when customers moan about the staff when they dont stop to think why staff maybe react like that?
and i also said that if people done their jobs properly there wouldnt be any penny stock out on the shop floor, so i wasnt just slating the customers but also the staff for not doing their work.0 -

Actually you only commented about staff not doing their work properly AFTER you slagged of hermione and all the customers that come into the store. After you hoped that she/he got sacked. After you talked about how customers take the !!!!!!
You did not only say how fustrating it was, you slated customers! so I hope WhSmiths are happy and proud of the bad feelings you are protaying to potential customers who read this - I know I won't be going there for fear of making your day (which you are being paid for) any harder or difficult than it obviously already is. God forbid I change my mind about an item and place it in a different department (I didn't realise WhSmiths had so many floors and levels to make this job hard!) or that an item scans at full price rather than the offer price!
Also I am talking about glitches, errors and mistakes at ALL stores that you may have taken advantage of - Tesco's, Sainsburys, Asda etc. After all the staff of those stores probably think the same as you do - that they are being loyal.
Carry on as you are, though I do suggest a change in career as you are obviously not very happy having to "serve" customers, but then the next article we will be reading might be all about Pinky1989 who saved the day for WhSmiths!loves a good glitch :j0 -

Someone mentioned about WHS not wanting to sell them a 1p item, shops don't have to sell you anything if they don't want too, and certainly not at the price on the shelf it's a mistake - you are making an offer to buy it and they don't have to accept.
Most chains, in the name of good practice, will sell you something at the price on the shelf even if it's wrong when it scans, but you have to remember this isn't a given.
Admittedly, the other day I got a table from £100 to £40 in IKEA because of this but then I was polite when I asked about the discrepancy and therefore got it at it's knocked down price :-)0 -
oh and about these glitches in other stores that i may have taken advantage of - well no i havent because im not a cheapskate b*tch. in fact i cant believe so many tramps have joined this money saving pish. im not made of money but even im not that desperate!!! goodbye peeps have fun tryin to find the penny stock now, whs have requested all stores remove from sale
and im sure the majority of you are lovely people and dont think bcoz i moaned about customers that i would behave in an unprofessional manner. i am good at my job and with customers and if its such a crime to vent my frustrations - which im sure we all do - then i do apologise!!!!! xxxxxxxxxx

Looks like I caught this thread too late if what pinky says is right that WHS have taken them all off sale. One bad egg spoils it for the rest of us. I was needing a set of new earphones and quiet like the look of the lego keyring too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
