Just feel the need to post :rotfl: it's amazing how addictive and motivating these debt free diaries can become !
I'm making progress with sorting out the finances although I have not made any big or substantial payments to the debt just yet , things however are going to plan .
Although have had some set backs such as less CSA money this month, walking out of my job and not being paid , living off of tax credits alone for the last few weeks , not being able to budget for the next few weeks as all my sources of income are about to change. I have made some positive changes
I've budgeted for all the bills and am not short for any :T
I've not borrowed from the bank of mum and dad :T
I've reduced my food bill by £30 per week for the last 2 weeks :T
Have transferred all direct debits to one account :T
Have transferred all income payments to other account :T
Started a coin jar :T
Emptied purse daily into coin jar :T
Saved £10 into emergency fund just by transferring odd amounts :T
Set up a savings plan linked to savings account for Moo's birthday :T
Did the 10% asd* thingy when would have previously not bothered :T
Got £7 asd* vouchers back from. 10% thingy :T
Cancelled insurances and love film that are not needed :T
Contacted tax credits to change employment details :T
I just need to change housing benefit details but waiting for newcontrct to arrive I did phone company and they said I was on there system already ( likely will get paid at end of month :T:T) and contract on it's way.
Achieved a lot considering the circumstances hopefully fingers crossed that I've done good enough ground work these last few weeks so that when I start getting a full months wage It will all become a little bit easier and clearer
Might start a spending diary so I can see what goes where as money is still disappearing
I want to know my DFD but don't know how to do it is there a tool to use ?Emergency fund £0/£300

Well done you are getting organised, the best tool I know of is whatsthecost (google it) you need to know all your APR's and balances and the monthly payments, lets you see how much difference it makes if you snowball payments too. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
