i have just got a mortgage (100%) with my OH in november for 78k i was 21 (now 22 - dec). this is for a 3 bed house with loft conversion. we only wanted to go up to 80k and every other house within the price was either falling down or needed some major work doing to them. we were very lucky getting this house as we only need to decorate it. a plus to this is that the OH's parents own a decorating shop so everything is free!0

We were both 23. It was a victorian farm workers terraced cottage and was £42,000 in 1986 (very saught after village location). We paid £13,000 deposit which was my savings from 18 until 21(£5,000) plus our joint savings (£8,000)from then on.
We sold in 1989 for £80,000 and bought the one we live in now, which is a 1930's semi for £74,000.0 -

I bought my first house back in June 06 Aged 20 (Im now 21) for £92,500 with a mortgage of £83,000.
I have just accepted an offer of £125,000 making a gross profit of £32,500 with deductions for money spent on the development the net profit is £20,400 (not including EA fee's/conveyancing).
Of this, £10,000 will be paid off the mortgage, I'll buy another for approx £100-110,000 leaving some left over for a new car and to do up the new one, and so the cycle will continue until either a) I have enough money to facilitate my long term ambitions or b) I get totally fed up with living in a construction zone!!!0 -

We are in the middle of buying our first home. Hopefully it will be completed being built and us moved in before my birthday in May (doubtful)
So as it stands as 23 & 24 (husband) but it may well be 24 & 25.
95% mortgage on a 3 bed new build semi for £83,700 including the freehold plot. Not bad at all me thinks.0 -
we got our first mortage when I was 23, and dh was 19. we struggled to save 10k to put down as a deposit as no lenders would touch us for 86k, which the flat we loved was up for sale for. We moved again last year, and as we had 46k to put down (equity and savings) all the lenders were interested. How times change!0
