We are going to eat better and cheaper.
I am going to lose weight and get some exercise.
I am going to finish my degree and complete some other courses for work.
I am going to recycle my rubbish - at the moment I am doing paper poorly and glass, so lots of room for improvement.

cant think of anything else at the moment...

Well I don't know what's going to happen next year. It's an adventure. :D

But the last two years we have sold our business, downsized, built our own house, lived frugally & I mean frugally ;) so next year we could come over to the UK & have a working/holiday. Six weeks to go and here we come. :j
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    well there are so many things i want to do in 2007 - the OS ones are;

    1. meal plan every week.
    2. incorporate an 'on toast' meal once a week
    3. cut the cost of our food/cleaning shopping bill (aim is to get to £100 pcm)
    4. incorporate a veggie meal at least once a week
    5. only take packet lunches to uni - no more 'oh its friday, so its ok' attitude!

Ah, you really all do motivate! I think I'm going to tag along with most of what you've all said! My OS resolutions are:

    1. Keep learning to cook new things.
    2. Meal plan and use my new blender and SC to make extra foods for the freezer.
    3. Plan my veggie patch so I grow things I'm going to eat. Makes sense I know but this year I had loads of beetroot and last year it was radishes! WHY!!!
    4. Cut down on my supermarket spend.
    5. Monitor what other money I'm spending. Where do all those £10's I take from the cash machine actually go?
    6. Recycle, reuse, sell, donate! Generally keep my little 1 bedroom home clear of clutter that I just don't need.
    7. Find time to finish the cross stitch I started 18 months ago! It was to be a gift for a new born baby who turns one in Feb!
    8. Try and instill some of these virtues in the 30 5 year old children I teach! I might as well try and get them young. :D
    9. Introduce as many friends as possible to MSE and OS.

    10. MAKE 2007 AN OS YEAR!!!! :T :T :T
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

Cut out the items that sneak into my trolley at the supermarket. If you don't have it you can't eat it. Make a list and stick to it instead of leaving it at home. Start baking again instead of buying cakes and biscuits "for visitors".

An interesting read, so many of us having similar hopes for 2007.

*I really need to take the bull by the horns this year in terms of OS. I need to get to grips with the budget, am going to trawl through the bank statements this afternoon and build a household budget. It needs to be stuck to as this year we are extending our kitchen and bathroom and on one wage its going to be tight.

*Am applying for evening work at Tesco/ASDA to try and help with the build cost.

*MUST loose weight, slowly but surely will be the key. According to the doc I am 5 stone overweight.

*teach my 3 kids to eat HM food.

    * teach my 3 kids that they CAN and WILL be able to go to bed awake and alone, at present they go to slepp downstairs with DH and I - its tiresome.

*build my raised beds and get my vege patch up and running.

    Thats enough for now!!!!
    WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbs
    Weight today = 17st 6.5lbs
    Loss to date 32.5lbs!!!

    5. Collect up things for DS to take to Uni in Sept. So will look out for useful bits and bobs in charity shops etc. and make up a student box when the time comes.

My Mum and sister made me one of these when I first went off to uni and again for my postgrad... remember to make the most of free samples!
