i went into pc world after looking on there website at there price match i wanted to price match a motherboard with one in a shop down the road the service i got from pc world leicester made me sick it took them 4 hours to confirm that they had it in stock then they refused the sale here is there price promise. they told me because the store was a pawn brokers and even thi they had the product because they are a different business type they would not do it, now where in the terms does it say that it does not. the store i wanted to price match with does do buyback and you can sell them stuff to do with computers but they also stock brand new products aswell im disgusted with the attitude of the staff and the company and think they ar wrong for doing this i will never shop there again and i recomend you dont either

Its like any price match with any retailer they will always have T&C's, if you didnt like it you could shop elsewhere these Companys are after all here to make a profit not a loss !0

Why not get it from the pawn shop? you can't be going to PCW for their after sales care?0

i went to pc world because the shop had it in for around 120pounds now pc world had the same 1 for 249pounds when they price match they give you 10% of the difference off aswell so i would have got it cheaper and the shop is not a pawn shop they do buy back its a pc /mobile phone store which stocks new and used products0

They will only price match with an equivalent retailer. The other retailer MUST also have a retail outlet also, so a web based supplier will not count unless they have a shop customers can walk into.
And how the hell can they be exptected to price match with second hand goods, even if they haven't been used?
And no, I'm not a fan of PC World in particular, but come on ..... be reasonable!0 -
the product was not second hand it was new and they do have a store cant you read0

If its a pawn shop it does not constitute as a store in the t&c's of the actual price match offer.
The pawn shop may well be selling a new product but they are hardly purchasing it from a wholesaler it is likely to of been bought from an individual so there is no way a price match can be done against this type of purchase, basicaly if you want it cheaper go and buy it in the pawn shop and then also you will have no comeback if and when it develops a fault !0 -
its NOT!! a pawn shop they have just started this buy back scheme on pcs and phones before, this they were just a pc sales and repair store0

I used the price match to get money off a TV in January so if you find a product elsewhere it does work, I found the cheaper TV in Comet and the guy from PC World walked to the Comet store next door to check I wasnt lying.0
