Funnily enough the scans are about the only time I feel ok, I guess cos someone who knows what they're doing is checking on things!:D I relax for about a day, then go back to panicking about things going wrong. I'm hoping the further in I get, the less I'll worry.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

My first was a surprise baby. We'd been trying and hoping for months but my periods still came regular as clockwork. It was only tingling boobs that made me think it was time to pee on a test stick.

Then I sailed through a completely symptom free pregnancy. Same with the second.

Just enjoy the fact you are not rushing to the loo on waking as some of my friends did. And relax.

That little heart beat on the sonograph screen is a wonderful sight. I always took that little pulsing image away with me as the latest love in our lives. But I'm a bit soppy like that!

Wishing you all the best through your pregnancy and beyond.

Thank you all so much for your replies. Its so reassuring to know that i'm not the only person to not have symtoms and these kinds of worries.

I guess everyone worries a bit and as people have pointed out, the worry probably won't end with the 12 week scan!!

Hopefully i'll be able to post back with positive news nxt week....keep everything crossed for me!! :D

Thanks again, it really is appreciated!

OP I was exactly the same as you too!

Nothing until about 21 weeks when suddenly I felt the baby move! I didn't look pregnant until about 7 months so don't worry!

    Congratulations, that's great news!

I didn't see this thread until now but I would also have posted to say that I am now 13 weeks gone and have also been symptom-free the whole time. I was a bit (irrationally) worried that during my scan last week, the sonographer was going to look and say 'but there's nothing there!' but she didn't, and we got a great view of little flump wriggling and waving their arms/legs.

The thing I kept telling myself was that yes, women do have silent miscarriages, but they are very rare. If something untowards happens during the first 12 weeks, chances are you will know about it. There was no reason for me to think I was *not* pregnant, lord knows I did enough tests that came back positive telling me otherwise!

I hope you can now relax a bit more and enjoy the next 6 months! :D
