Hi all,
I don't really know why i'm writing, i think to get it out and not worry my OH.
I am approx 12 weeks pregnant with first bubba and due our first scan nxt week....but i've had NO symptoms, no sickness, no cravings, no weeing, no nothing and i'm getting paranoid that there's nothing there.
I was/am suffering from tiredness but have now been diagnosed as anaemic (sp) so think this rather then the baby is the cause.
We did have an early private scan approx 6 weeks ago and bean was there with a strong heartbeat but i am so so scared that something has happened since....
I don't know how i'd cope if something has happened.....has anyone else had the same sort of experience or offer any words of wisdom?
TIA

I didn't really have anything with any of my three, only the missed period to start with and then tingly boobs. Never had sickness or nausea, not really any cravings early on and the full bladder feeling is usually when you have a whacking great lump pushing on your bladder!
Don't worry, just enjoy your pregnancy.0 -
with my first i had no symptons for the whole pregnancy, (apart from around 6 months when i developed a bump) with my other two ive been really sick, one for the whoole 9 months and this one sickness stopped around 5 months and they are all boys and all different pregnancies
easier said than done but please try not to worry especially as you already know it was fine at six weeks. everyone worries its not unusual, you are being quite normal.xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
For my first I had tingly boobs but felt fabulous all the way through. Boy.
For my second, I was shattered, sleeping loads, very irritable, nauseous. Girl.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Don't trouble trouble...you may just be one of the lucky ones, and it is natural to have unusual emotions when pg.
Make a deal with yourself that you will deal with a problem if one confronts you - and try to shelve it for now. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hi there and congratulations
I was the same as you - didn't "feel" at all pregnant and although it was a wanted and planned pregnancy, I started to worry towards the end that I wasn't even "excited". I don't think I believed it until I started to feel it move at about 18 weeks.
But I was - I was just healthy (which is not to say those with symptoms aren't), as was baby, but I was just very calm and I didn't panic about anything either. Baby was born and it truly was love at first sight
Same with No 2 - I "knew" i was pregnant long before I did the test
Mind you - 12 years on and I could cheerfully strangle the little bu99er at times now ..... ah the joys of adolescence!0 -
I was exactly the same. I literally had no symptoms whatsoever until about 22 weeks when baby started kicking! I worried all the way up until my first scan due to lack of morning sickness etc and then even after that I was paranoid up until my 20 week scan that there was a problem and that is why I had no symptoms!
Im currently 37 weeks and apart from kicking and heartburn I still haven't had any of the traditional symptoms (and not a braxton hicks in sight!). Go and have a read/post on the pregnancy thread or the less than 12 weeks thread - Im sure there are plenty of women going through the same thing!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Why do you think that many women have 'surprise' babies? because they have no symptoms, thats why! I understand youre concerned - after all most women complaining about morning sickness, sore boobs etc get told - well thats normal. so NOT getting them must seem like its abnormal and something is wrong doesnt it?
well, dont forget that EVERY pregnancy is different and the only reason something is seen as 'normal' is because a large PERCENTAGE of women get these symptoms. not all women have all the symptoms just as many women have none of the symtoms.
Try not to worry hun - try to relax and dont forget how smug you can be at antenatal clinic when the other mumstobe are moaning - you can smile and say 'I didnt have any of that'!0 -
Same here no symptoms with DS and just heartburn with DD. As a previous poster said try not to worry . Maybe check with your own Mum as my lack of symptoms were identical to my Mum's when she was pregnant.0

Hi,
I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with my 1st and I was exactly the same as you. I have had no symptoms other than feeling a bit tired (but I am always tired anyway!) and sore breasts.
I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in March and fell pregnant again within two weeks of the miscarriage so I have been so nervous throughout this pregnancy. I had an early scan, like you and seen the heartbeat at 8 weeks (which was a relief) then had my dating scan at 12 weeks and that was great, we couldn't believe how much the baby had changed in just 4 weeks, it had gone from just a beat on a screen to showing an obvious head, arms, legs etc (and moving about lots!)
So even now at 18 weeks, I have still not had any of the 'classic' symptons that everyone talks about, just remember that every pregnancy is different and what's normal to one is different for another. I am just about starting to relax and enjoy this pregnancy now.
The only thing I will note is that over the last few weeks I have had really itchy skin on my tummy and boobs/chest, but I guess this is where my skin is stretching, so lots of mosturiser neededI have a little bump now too and am just hoping that I feel it move soon as I am at that stage now. Also when I hit the 15 week mark I had the strangest feeling (this feeling suddenly appeared) that I wasn't pregnant anymore, it was so weird as I just stopped 'feeling' pregnant. I was so worried I bought a doppler from Amazon and listened to the babies heartbeat for reassurance and sure enough it was there! I can listen to it at anytime now so the doppler was a fab purchase
Try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy0
