Paranoid?!? *UPDATE*

Being pregnant is one of the most worrying times! Having too many symptoms or too little is worrying and i`d be suprised if there was no woman who was `not scared` prior to having a scan.
Are you a member to any baby online forums? netmums/babyworld etc. Here you will find people who are in the same position and ALL worrying about their upcoming scans and not feeling `pregnant`.
Even after your 12week scan/20 week scan you will still have these `paranoid` moments especially with your hormones here there and everywhere!
When baby arroves it don`t stop!! You end up paranoid about rashes, noises they make, things they are or aren`t doing, coughs and sneezes.
Try and relax and hopefully the scan will put your mind to ease until next timeDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

My best mate called me on Halloween to tell me she was pregnant - she had just found out. She had only taken the test because her bf had said her boobs were a bit bigger and bet her she was pregnant. He was right, but it turned out that she was six months along. No other symptoms, hadn't even missed a period! She was told that some women just get lucky and have no weird stuff at all!
She now takes a pregnancy test on the 1st of every month. Just in case. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

It is so hard not to worry (never been full term but I know the paranoia that kicks in) but chances are in your favour that all is ok. Yes things do go wrong but in the majority of cases things are fine.
Good luck for your scan and I look forward to your good news after it :-)

OP please, don't worry. One of my school mates was like this until she had her dating scan... and it was TWINS!!!:rotfl:
She told me she was expecting the sonographer to tell her that she had a belly full of Ferrero rocher, rather than a baby- she has absolutely NO symptoms at all. :rotfl:Good luck for your scan chick xxxNuts oh Hazelnuts:rotfl:0 -
Another one here that had no symptoms other than tiredness and heartburn at the very end. Don't worry, be glad that you aren't throwing your guts up everywhere, it must be awful. Both of my midwives have said that people react differently to the hormones, some better than others.0

worrying is all part of it, thats the one common thing in every mother/pregnancy, apart form that, they are all different
i too had no syptoms with my first (except missed period)
try and relax OP:)0 -
I had morning sickness with my first two, and virtually nothing with my third. So much so that I kept thinking that I'd dreamt that I was pregnant ~ I didn't really get it into my head until I was around 28 weeks gone.
And paranoia/extreme concern is pretty normal in pregnancy ~ I went thro' every scenario in my head with DS no. 3 & he's now 6 months old!Frodo ~ "..... I wish none of this had happened. "Gandalf ~ " So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."0 -
I think I was sick twice during the whole of my pregnancy (not including labour) I was really tired though. I think the only time I didn't have some fear, in the back of my mind was when they let you hear the heartbeat. I loved that,My 9LB 8 & half oz :eek:beautiful baby girl will be 6 next week.
I THINK (not 100% sure though) that anaemia is common in pregnancy, lot's of pregnant women end up on the dreaded iron tablet's so you can have that as your symptom, little bean is stealing your nutrients:jBooo!!!0 -

Playing devil's advocate for a moment, I'd say that it *was* pretty 'weird' to not miss a period!
OP, all the best for your pregnancy; congratulations!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
i was just the same.
i had two days of queezyness xmas day and boxing day but apart from that nothing. and this is my 5th pregnancy so you would think i'd be used to it. but with my others i had a feeling inside i just knew i was. i couldn't explain it. even after doing about 8 positive test i still didn't believe it.
and when i went for the 12 weeks scan ( i was nearly 13 weeks at time) i had my eyes shut and i held my breath, lol. i was so scared there would be nothing there. i didn't open my eyes or breath until the scanner said theres your baby,lol.0
