Am I naive? Why is g h o u l a swear word on MSE? I thought it just meant a macabre monster, a spectre. Does it have another, more unsavoury meaning?

    Maybe the second definition is why it's being filtered?

    The word has been used to cause issues on the forum. Having used up so much of the Forum Team's time and resources we felt it necessary to add it into the filter to stop it being used.
    Could you do with a Money Makeover?

    I'd love to know how that word was used in such a way that it had to be added to the swear filter! :D

    I'm going to start using the word 'banana' in a defamatory way and see if I can get it added!
