afternoon all,
Knitting this morning and then sarnie lunch with cousin, should now be cleaning downstairs as whole place is a tip, but have to talk to my friends and see what they are saying don't I??
Warm, dull and breezy here to-day, pleasant enough and clothes on line will dry I am sure.
Dinner will be left over steak with mushrooms and salad in a sandwich I think, not in humour for cooking and not really hungry either....very strange for me.
Thinking about buying cheap gazebo from Argos for deck, as frame of old one got broken in storm ( wasn't taken down in time, was it??? Sorry, my fault!) Really like to sit out to eat but like to be sure that I don't have to cut and run if it rains....I am in Ireland after all.
Going to watch Weakest link and knit while its on.....
Hugs to all in need or want of one

Afternoon everyone
Many Happy Returns to Master Tappers and Miss BB!
Had a nice chat with DD on Skype today-she was sitting on her balcony and we watched it get dark until I could only see her smile.....she went inside then. Bit warm in Japan at the moment.
OH and I don't work on Mondays so we popped into town to do some bank stuff and I had a little spend in the Bon Marche sale- crinkle skirt in lovely shades of purple/blue half price, shorts ( first pair for years) couple of tee shirts with no sleeves...Had been panicking as have booked for Lanzarote in Oct for OH's 60th (looove Playa Blanca) and had bought no summer clothes yet this year and the sales have started already, and...breathe.....
Have given up alcohol from yesterday as OH wants to lose last 4lbs and I could do with losing some more too. There is nothing worse than a successful OH dieter...he is soo smug!
The bedding dried on the line today and we are having fish for tea-I don't really like it but have got some salmon and will cook with orange and dill(home grown). We will have it with new pots and peas. I am trying to get more Omega 3 and eat fewer carbs too. Plan B is cold chicken...:o
Oh well, onwards and upwards and looking forward to the end of term as I work term time only. Just going off to vacuum the hall and stairs.
Have a good evening

Evening all!
had planned to get up early and eat a leisurely breakie before dropping OH and pup off at work, but it didn't happen....
OH has been paid, so providing he's not working late/over the weekend and my grandad doesn't get worse we shall be off to Devon for the weekend. I need need need to get away.
OH is still at work, need to collect him later. No idea what to do for dinner, thinking HM chicken kebabs, with chips/salad
Need to make pack lunches for tomorrow - i had my soup today that i made on friday, it did not taste great for some reason. 2 portions went in the freezer - won't bother getting them out till we've run out of food completely! Better have the other one in the fridge for tomorrow though.
Happy birthday Taplord and Miss Beans

Evening allThe glass is about an inch thick! I got three bin bags inside each other and managed to slide most of it in -but had to hoover the carpet for ages as the little tiny pieces were everyone. Trouble is that I like to have bare feet and am not happy at having to wear flipflops in the house.
Gers - my nan taught me to put a piece of bread over broken glass to pick up the small pieces, works everytime for me! Push it down onto carpet/floor to pick up the bits. May need to hoover up the bread crumbs after though! :rotfl:
Happy birthday Taplord and MissBitsy!
Lovely day hereand good day at work. This morning my work kids had to do mini presentations in small groups about the activities we did last week. It's all practice for their big presentation at the end of the course. They all did really well, I was impressed! This afternoon we went to our log cabin and they cleaned my minibus, then we went to the beach
We played rugby, sunbathed and paddled in the sea. It was a lovely chilled afternoon. Check out my pic on FB!
My new laptop has come!So forgive me if my spelling is bad as the keyboard is slightly off from the other one! It's so much faster than the old one. i only ordered it yesterday so am well impressed. Going to play around with it tonight.
OS wise - DW will go on later, omelette and salad for tea. Got someone coming to pick up some bits I put on Freecycle later, hope they turn up.
Have a good evening all

Happy Birthday to Master Taplad
And Happy Birthday to Little Miss Bitsy :bdaycake:
Hope you have both had lovely days xx
Been a cracking day here, got loads of washing dry, nipped up to the book shed and swapped some books over, online shop done, and dd hoovered through.
We just had omlette and salad and a few chips for dinner, twas very nice, think I may have an early night as I feel I am coming down with something, was sick earlier, and have a banging head and sore throat.
Have good evenings all xx
PS took the dog out earlier, and the cherry plum tree up the road is groaning with fruit, guess what we will be doing tomorrow ?0 -
Ooh I forgot to say earlier...2 of my ex work kids came in today. They were in my first ever group 2.5 years ago. Back then they were both rough kids (well 18/19), both had anger issue and problems with drugs and alcohol, both were living in hostels or friends floors
....2.5years later they are now a couple, both clean and sober and happy, have a lovely little house and had a beautiful baby girl a week ago
. The baby is adorable and they both seem soo happy. It's lovely to see how they have turned their lives around.

Day 1 of course done and I managed to stay awake, I feel tireder doing that than working a night. DS continues to eat for England, if he's like this at 10 and he's nearly as tall as me (I'm 5'6'') what size is he going to be when he's 16!?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mstr Taplord and Ms Beans.
FLUTTERBY lovely to know that you can make a difference in the life of young people.
Only OS thing round here today is I've made stock from the chicken carcass and used up my leftovers.

I didn't manage any dinner, threw up actually. I blame the suspicious tasting lentil soup from lunch, so thats going in the bin. Have been asleep since about 7...
Had voicemail from my mum, they think that grandad had a heart attack at some point and now has a blood clot on his lung. Not sure what that means. So am going to try and get up their this weekend, if not then next week. I think Devon plans will have to go on hold for the moment.
I still feel terrible, so am putting the iplayer (or what ever has the best telly) on and going back to sleep. Hopefully i feel better tomorrow.
