Happy Birthday to the young Taplad!
DH has just left to take the dogs for their long romp so I am sneaking back on here...anything to delay getting that clutter sorted out upstairs!

    Morning my lovelies :D

Tappers it must have been a good day to give birth as it's DD's 3rd Birthday today :j One excited little girl with lots of pressies :D She's off to pre school in a mo whilst I rush round getting food shop and housework. I have to say though she didn't like my bunting  Ungrateful whatsit :rotfl: I slaved for hours over that <rollseyes>

Tea is going to be pizza and chips for kids and a marinated chicken breast in bun with chips and salad for me and H.

Nothing else to report, best get a move on actually.

Check in later if I can. Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day (sun is gorgeous here) OS or not.

Beemuzed - Hugs for your DS, I hope he's in a better place at the moment xx

    Morning All

Happy Birthday to Taplad and Miss Bitsy!

Glorious day here so WM on already, the other load will go in when I have had a shower. This is the second week of the holidays and I feel that I am at last beginning to relax (apart from other job!). Going to strim around the garden today - I hate that strimmer, the plastic things break all the time. Dentist first though and have to get some fresh veggies for tea to go with the salmon.

Thinking of phoning HR dept at evening job, the boss of the dept has a horrible manner and whilst I can deal with her the way she speaks to some of the young girls (my DD included) is terrible. These young girls work hard and do what they should but it's never enough for her and she eventually bullies them into leaving. She only roars at them when she has an audience and doesn't listen to anything they have to say. I feel I should stick up for them as they don't have the experience or confidence to do it themselves. No wonder they don't have a good work ethic when they get older.

Anyway, off to face the world, hope everyone has a good day and the poorlies and worrieds are feeling better. Take care. XX

    ¡Hola!

Feliz cumpleaños Miss Bitsy, & Master Taplord

Hope DS does better this time Beemuzed

One three days left then we must start the journey, back, but true to form we are out again in the 'van next Wednesday;):o:D for a long weekend. Will just find the time to fit a much needed trip to the hairdressers in on Tuesday :)

Been for the physio on my arm again this morning, they certainly have a different approach to it out here, every weekday, for half an hour, various machines to ease the muscles, plus a massage (yes they found the sore spots, ouch!!), and then heat treatment. The last time I went to a physio in the UK, she stood there scratched her head, and said, oh what can we give you to do for it, suggested 2 or 3 exercises (things I had already tried), and said contact us again, if it doesn't improve!! Didn't do a thing. Two more trips before we leave,, but it will be available for me to go back to if still having problems in September.

Cloudy Day with thunder but no rain forecast for tomorrow, so will do the final blitz through of the house, and packing then, and it looks good for Wednesday to sunbathe:D and wash everything up. Just called at Lidl on the way back, and chicken breasts and thin sliced pork loin were both on offer so grabbed a couple of packs of each, one of each for the freezer for next visit. Think we may have a BBQ tonight, we were supposed to be going out with neighbours/friends both last night and tonight, but trying to calm and settle DH's tummy for the return trip, so eating at home, having nice boring, unspicy food. He has been eating loads of salads with me, but not having the bread/potatoes he normally has which I am not eating, and think he has not had enough bulk to absorb his acid production, so now he is back on it. He is very good, doesn't have anything on bread, and avoids anything he thinks might upset him (he adores cheese but now keeps to the low fat stuff and watches me eat all the flavor ones), but now and again it catches us out.

Enough time inside, now out for a read.

    Take care all DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Morning All

Gorgeous here today and I am on the fourth load of washing including 5 bath sheets that I picked up off the bathroom floor this morning  cue a few choice words when DS and DD emerge from their pits.
Pelted down last night so I didn't need to water the garden :D and now the water butt is full again :D

I don't think that I can face another rhubarb crumble for a while - I ended up making 48  and didn't finish until 1 am, still it is for a good cause.

I have a lot of runners on my strawberry plants so I am going to find some pots and pop some compost in and make some new plants for next year.

Happy Birthday to taplad and little miss bitsy I hope you have fun days smiley-greet002.gifsmiley-greet006.gif

Morning all, room for a returner?

Not been over here for a while but today it took my fancy, hope that is ok.

It's been a long day already here; DS3 was acting like goldilocks at breakfast, my readybrek is too hot, my readybrek is too runny, he really does put the P in pedantic that one. Then he wanted his school shorts which had only had an hour on the AGA this morning after the overnight wash so it was hairdryer to the rescue. Still he went off to school happy in the end.

Been to school for a meeting (I'm a Governor) and forgot to chat with my contact about something I had meant to so I must remember to do that when I'm back there tonight - after taking DS3 for final trumpet practice before tomorrow's grading. Eeek.

Lovely and sunny here so I'm going to strip a couple of beds and then do my meal plan for the week. The freezer needs a defrost so I'm going to try to use some bits up this week in preparation for that.

Had our first big picking of runners beans last night which were delicious, made up for the berries all finishing.

Happy Birthday for Taplad and Miss Beans I hope they both have lovely days

    Morning all..just!
Back from holidays to house like a midden , washing basket full and empty fridge, not happy with DD who was conspicuously absent until midnight last night!!!
4 loads of washing out on whirly, ironing basket emptied in preparation for it drying, kitchen and bathroom contents in boxes all over house and bathroom fitter finishing off stripping out bathroom, so house once again a tip! Back to work tomorrow and back in uniform...if they fit:eek: Have a good day all!

Back from DS`s annual statement review...went ok..glad it is done now for another year, strategies put in place. His dad came too and he seems more accepting of DS`s difficulties and more sensible about it all.
Just about to sort an online shop ready for 3 weeks time when we go away to the farm cottage for hols.
Cleaned house yesterday so none of that to do today...just some washing.
Meatballs and spaghetti for tea later.
Had an ahem:o dream about Michael Moon from Eastenders again last night..that is twice in a week :p;)....it is true I do have odd taste in men:rotfl:
Must go as am sat too close to cats tray and she has just done something in there which is making me nauseous!!

Happy birthday Taplad and Miss Bitsy:T....fancy not appreciating your handiwork Bitsy :eek::cool::p
