I was with ntl for years on the iro a phone line but when I wanted to cancel I was told I had to ring a number that was only open 9-5 mon-fri. When I told them it was impossible for me to phone at those times I was smugly told "it luck like your stuck with us for a while" and was threatened with court action when I said I'd jst cancel the direct debit.

Or how about when my mate had the internet fitted and the "engineer" knocked out his wireless network and DIDN'T KNOW how to fix it!!

I'm with IDNet and pay £24.99 for 8mb and a 30gb limit. My connection is rock solid and the customer service is the best of any isp, I would certanly laugh my a*s off if someone told me ntl was a better isp than IDNet.
