hi all ...despite all my best intentions I have not achieved as much as I wanted to. I seem to have been taken over by the declutter fairy and I'm sure you all know how long it takes to go through even the simplest of drawers and decide what to get rid of. Today so far I've been through the two bedside cabinets and am now downstairs finding all sort of things to do [ checking emails, playing 'bubble spinner', posting on here] rather than getting back to it.
But I must be strong and not let myself get sidetracked as there is a whole room - the spare room that needs/demands a complete declutter. I may be some time and if you don't hear from me later, send in the search party..........

Hiya all. Thanks for all the support and sorry for disappearing. Hubby is not back. I am still hoping he will be. Trying to establish some kind of routine. I'm proud of myself for looking after the kids and the basics since he left...and losing 10 pounds taking me to a total of 40 pounds lost. A shock is a good diet, if nothing else. Trying to keep positive.

New plan...(some starting today, some tomorrow)

    * work from home 1h a day
    * sort out 2 chores/finance things every day
    * spend no more than £150 on groceries before August 15th (so far spent £1.49)
    * 10 mins decluttering per day
    * 20 mins on garden per day (this really is a necessity not a hobby, I have a 150 foot garden in bad shape to manage by myself)
    * 2 loads laundry per day, and put away
    * plan food properly
    * finally, but not least....LEVEL 2 FLYING EVERY DAY

Looking forward to catching up with you guys.

    Good afternoon! :D
i have stripped the bed, and the bedding is drying on the line. I have also been at toddler group all morning. Little Miss Sunshine & I have had lunch, and we are chillaxing with CBeebies at the moment before the madness that is Friday afternoon starts at 1.30!

I spent most of last night doing my accounts (nearly there now) I don't think I will be getting child tax credits soon as I think we will be over the threshold (just :() It's only £40 a month, but it all helps!

Need a plan of action for the weekend, 'cos it looks like nothing will be done in the garden, as forecast is not good :(

Hugs and spoons to those that need it :)

Hello sorry BD grabbed me and got cracking with studying then been shaking the BD off as much as I can. My friend came over for an hour with her friend the other day and timed it well I needed a shake but made me realise I was in CHAOS when I made nice weather excuses and shuffled them out into the yard.

Got my bum in gear a bit more today. eBay gibble I should have posted Monday now gone. Have cut the lawn as there is some god awful weather forecast. 3 bag flings. Sorted some fridge space. Made some healthier food (first thing to slip when BD creeps in) Decided what's going on eBay next. Emptied DW and WM and refilled. Got DP to do a temp fix on my bed with a spindle I bought (£1.99 for solid wood spindle instead of £5.99 for same length bit of wood) so we can prolong it's life while I try to bag an eBay bargain.

Next - drag hose through and refill the pond, clean pond filter then hopefully the MOT will be done on my car and it would have passed so I can collect it!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

    Hello all.

List-wise, I'm almost done; I've tidied up the tops of our CoDs so that only stuff that's meant to be there remains (there wasn't a lot to shift, tbh - just needed tidying, really), so that's all OK; I'm struggling a bit with the 10 Frogs for next week, though, as realistically, they need to be things I can do without any assistance. I'm up to eight at present, so hopefully I'll think of another two before the day's out.
Once that's done, I'm all up to scratch for the week!:j
We were hoping to tackle some of the garden over the weekend, but I see the weather forecast isn't all that special; and there are big black clouds forming, even as I type (just been and fetched in the washing - luckily, it's all dry). Oh well, they've got it wrong before, so maybe we'll be able to get some done.;)

A pal of ours from the pub is having an operation on his back today, in (as he calls it) "Milk'n'Beans Hospital" so we'll be lighting a wee healing candle for him tonight - poor chap was putting on a very brave face when we saw him the other day, but it was easy to see that he was actually !!!!!!-scared.

Rachel I like your strategy for staying on top of stuff - sending posi-vibes for you.:o

*Whistles* C'mon, BDs, here..... *throws sticks* Go fetch.... and don't come back.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Minion suitably gummed up with tooth impression gunk - I had at least 3 minutes' without her yakking at me :) - and now on probation, as she has two months with which to get her brushing up to scratch before they agree to do all the metalwork. Well, what would I, a mere parent, know about how to brush teeth? Of course Minion knew better than I did how to get the bits around the gums :wall:.

She is now beginning to flap as I am not helping her do her room and friend is due within the next hour. And I made her vacuum all downstairs as well (although I did sweep into the corners). Think I'll chuck some bleach over the downstairs bathroom sink and have a cuppa.

    *****

Mind you, I have just realised once I took the throw off the nice new cream leather sofa that SOMEONE has been getting black marks (from what, I don't know - trainers? studs on jeans?) over it, presumably by getting under the throw when my back is turned  - Stardrops doesn't appear to be shifting it too well - is there anything else I could use?

As soon as the room is done, I have no concerns, as it's easy enough to feed someone lactose intolerant (just check the labels), and they can entertain themselves quite easily with the Wii, laptop, music and TV. The stress is now. For her, anyway.

Now, shall I have a salad now or later, seeing as my sashimi and sushi meal was more of a little snack than anything else?

Hi guys. Just crawled in to lurk. Not diving today as lurgy has arrived - it always happens on holiday. Grrr.

Mexico is HOT, HOT, HOT. Makes you very lethargic. Diving has been brilliant and we've met lots of great people. Off snorkelling with whale sharks for a couple of days next week.

Flying wise - lots of hand washing, clothes don't stay fresh very long. Oh, and I decluttered my wedding ring. DH very practical. It's only an object and a symbol. Doesn't seem to see that that is not the point. His comment is it solves the problem of what to get me for our anniversary. Seriously p****d off with myself.

Can't believe its been a week already. Back to flying proper next Friday.

(((hugs))), and mules to all in need. Piggers take it easy this weekend.

You might be able to claim on your household insurance, if you have away from the home or all risks insurance. Your travel insurance would probably insist on getting a police report (but the effort involved with that over there probably isn't worth it), but if you can get a tour rep's written report, it might be worth having a go there.

They slide off people's fingers all the time, due to water, sunblock and temperature variations. It's sad, but as your DH says, it's not your fault and doesn't affect your relationship, as his commitment to you doesn't depend upon a golden band. ((((hug))))

Hope the rest of the holiday is lovely!!!!
