People who are leaving/unhappy: I can't help but get the feeling that i have contributed to your being miffed and i want to apologise. I posted a bit of a rant about DH the other day and TBH it's very rare that i do, because it's very rare that he does my head in to that extent. For the most part he is wonderful and does his fair share of household tasks. He can just be very unthinking sometimes, and i can react badly for unknown possibly hormonal / coffee withdrawal / stubbed my toe that day reasons. I understand AnW is upset due to current circumstances and believe me i know that feeling (kinda) of needing to take self-preservation measures. I am sure it is just a self-preservation thing, rather than a "you are all wrong to sl@g off your DH's" kind of thing. Anyway, i am aware that i have recently returned to the thread and i am taking on board what posters said about the tone of the thread having changed in recent times. Therefore, i can only conclude that i have contributed to this downhill turn in some way and would like to apologise and ask for clarification. I was happily going along all "la la laa!" not noticing anything, so i would appreciate being put in the loop as to what (apart from DH bashing) has gone wrong here. Learn and move on and all that. PM me if you like. Probably best to PM to keep the thread on topic and the dramaz following popcorn eaters away.Sarah.

Ladies with laminate - I have it absolutely everywhere in my flat. What's the easiest way of keeping it clean/non dusty? I keep ending up with grey feet
really need to sort it out tonight.
Do any of you have those mop/duster things? Or is a good old fashioned brush decent enough? We don't have a vacuum cleaner and I'd be kind of loathe to pay for one. (Maybe I should be trawling Freegle...)

I vacuum mine and then mop every so often (not weekly )
I have used one of those wide swishy things that i think you can get in poundstretcher. that works quite well too. Hope that helps?Yesterday is history

I will be mostly working this week
re laminate
you could
try mopping with a just damp mop - one you squeeze out not a sponge head, that would hold too much water. If it's bad sweep first then mop - figure of 8 mop strokes are (apparently) best
or you could spray the floor then swiffer it
me - I would be sweeping and mopping - but the mop must be really really well squeezed out.
I will be dropping in to flutter I hope...
and I am putting my washer on an empty boil wash tonight because DS left a BIRO in his trouser pocket.... so making sure that no terrible terrible biro ink is left in the washer, I hope...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

P.S. i still need an answer on how best to clean my icky kitchen cupboards
What's the matter with your icky kitchen cupboards?
Just given Miss Tag a rolocking about the state of the garden, the conservatory and the shed:mad: Miss Tag and her friend have managed to deposit various items in said areas and not put anything away. I won't even go into my newly paint splated conservatory.:mad::mad:
If friends come in too play, they and Miss Tag have been told that unless they help to put away what has been used, then they ain't coming in. Friend has now been banned for the next 3 days!;)
So I'm in this week. Got loads to do so need to find my organised hat!
I might even do a HHC in a bit.:D Anyone fancy joining in?0 -
