Still need to hoover but i'll do that later, i might just go clean the car out, it's piggin....:(Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0

Frittered_Away wrote: »Well I tried stardrops almost neat (using a damp sponge, so it still frothed) and I tried it 1:1:1 (ish!) with w vinegar and water, both on the oven door, and neither shifted the muck!
Also tried the mix on the tiles in the bathroom and it didnt do a whole lot... Am I missing something?!
I would use cif scouring cream on the tiles (and in icky cupboards - if you dont believe me pour some on TOP of your greasy kitchen cupboard and wipe it off - it will lift what it touched) and after you've done the cupboard tops, and they are dry line them with newspaper
I have used brillo pads on manky oven parts (but I refuse to clean this oven it is history...)
shop's own works as well,
In fact I just had biro ink on my washer door and cif (well Morrison's own) shifted it. My mum, showed the kids how to clean their trainers with it too. I use it on any hard surfacebut I am more gentle with it on plastics

Car now nice and clean. WM on at the highest temp with some white vin. Plan is to throw the trainers in next and i most wipe round the door before putting them in. Hubby took DS1 and Rhys for a walk to tire them out.
Then when he gets back i'll go to the shop and he can bath the boys, then i'll get DD and Rhys done when he's finished. I was hoping to mow the gardens but i think it's too late now and i still have loads to do. Need to move the bases of the old bed out to the shed so i suppose i could do that now......:think:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
seafarers_wife wrote: »Im thinking instead of paying my ironing lady, i might as well get a cleaner in for a couple of hours a fortnight to do the BIG jobs like changing the bed, and giving the "presentable" rooms a once over.
Do you think 2 hours would be enough for the following:
clean kitchen floors (laminate)
clean living room and downstairs hall floor (laminate)
hoover stairs and upstairs landing (carpet)
bathroom & my bedroom floor (laminate)
wipe round all skirting boards in living room, kitchen, hall, my room and bathroom
strip and make my bed
give the oven a once over
clean the fridge and microwave
clean the loo, shower and sink whilst giving the bath a quick dust
dust living room fireplace and ornaments in hall
wash windows inside if has time
iron and put away clothes if has time to be alternated with washing windows?
im thinking i could do all that bar the ironing as i hate it easily in 2 hours but i dont know if others could? downstairs is easy as there is no clutter, its just the babys room to be and the spare room that are the ones with clutter.
Yep, that and then some if she's any good, that's easily an hour for me, get adding some more to your list
I'm kernackered, been asleep for 2 hrs and could easily sleep some more lol Holes have been drilled in the kitchen..... they had the cement bucket on my bench  so there's a nice ring to clean up, which I haven'tmicrowave has been splattered too. DD1 loves the apartment so signing all forms and that tomorrow with a moving in date for hopefully 1 August....they have to get referances and credit checks done...but they're both dead excited. Got a vip slot for the NEXT sale....Noooooooooo! I wish they wouldn't do that lol
Erm...still need to make tea but I've decided I cba so just gonna bung jacket spuds in the microwave and have salad and beans with it, or cheese if they'd rather. Or beans on toast.0 -
I'm going to sort out the clean washing in the ironing baskets(again) and I think I might just iron a few important bits. 15 at a time of course!:p:D0

thanks embb, so that means she should be able to crack on with my ironing then in the remaining time
should have got a cleaner sooner lol0 -
