Easi Claims / Real Time Claims ltd - PLEASE HELP!

  • Hi People

After giving a guy from i-money group/realtimeclaims the interest rate, term and amount on my together product; mortgage/loan from northenrock he says I have been paying over the odds for the last 5 years and am still doing so on my new variable rate over the next 28 years. he says that I am owed 18-20k and with £240 plus 25% off the refund they will recover this in 8 to 10 weeks.

The main thing which bugs me is that if I put the remaining amount into an online mortgage calculator such as hsbc or moneysupermarket, there is no difference in monthly payments to when I took it out 6 years ago, so how can they say I have been over paying, could PPI be hidden and not displayed in the agreement?

Any assistance would be much appriciated...
  • thanks for that, will call them tomorrow

Rubbish and lies and a breach of their regulators rules.

They are making it up to get an upfront £240 payment from you. By the time you realise you have been scammed, the company will be long gone and you will not get your money back. There are plenty of people that have fallen for this scam.

Your information is not in the public domain. So, they have no way of telling you that what you have is wrong and you have seen that you have nothing wrong.

Look up advance fee fraud. Then make your own mind up on what you think this is.

  • I was also cold called on 7th September 2011 and, stupidly, paid the £240.00 advance fee which, the caller told me, would be fully refundable should I not be better off after having used their services + they would pay an additional £50.00. The claim was then handed over to Legal Issues who sent me various forms to complete, news to me as I had never agreed to this. Imagine my surprise when Legal Issues called in January 2012 to tell me my claim had been unsuccessful and that I should contact Easiclaims for a full refund. I did, but the line went to answermachine with the message that they had gone into administration and I should contact my card provider for a "charge back". This I have done but, whilst trying to be helpful, Barclaycard are setting me up for a fall with letters telling me that I am unlikely to be successful in my claim for a refund despite Easiclaims original email to me confirming how much I would be likely to receive and that the fees paid would be fully refundable if unsuccessful. I don't know who the adminstrators are so can't provide Barclaycard with that info, something else they say they need if my claim is to be successful. Not good!
  • Hi
I read your post with interest as I had the same problem back in July 2011 I was contacted by easiclaims and transferred to their legal department to make a payment of £240.
I never heard from them again and the phone just rings off the hook fI was contacted by David Skipp on 08432070700
I have been trying to reclaim this money ever since and the credit card I paid on will not refund the amount as Easiclaims legal department say the provided a service.
If anyone can help with this please let me know as I am out of work and desperate to reclaim this payment

Just had some mail from REALTIMECLAIMS, now my mum does remember a phone call from some PPI company but due to the fact she couldnt understand what the woman was talking about, her accent, she put the phone down.
So she never agreed to anything or gave out any information.
after looking through the paperwork, i see that they are extremely ridiculous when it comes to the outcome.
on one piece of paper is states they realtimeclaims will take 30% + VAT from the PPI won, as everyone knows VAT is currently 20% so thats a whopping 50% from any PPI won, this company should be taken down for ripping people off.

Give me a couple of minutes and i'll scan in the page with that on it. Done.see pic, scroll down to where it says Service Charge.

had a reply after writing a complaint on their website link,
seems i got the 50% wrong.
to quote them from the email i got
    "
However, just for your own personal information, we do not charge 50%. We charge 30% of the redress received, and because we are VAT registered, we have to charge an additional 20% of our fee (not the total redress).
    For example, if someone wins £3000, our fee is £900 + 20% VAT (£180) = £1080."

Still seems like extortion to me, especially as you can go to the bank your took out the PPI and get it back with 0% taken aka you get 100% all of it.

Presumably your mother has not signed this document - in which case it will be difficult to prove that a contract exists.

Do re post the picture with her name fully obscured, though.
  • Hi,

I spoke with someone from Real time Claims on Friday and said that they could send me any info for me to look at and think it over. I received 21 emails from them today and after looking through the information I decided not to continue claiming ppi. Meanwhile I had had 2 phone calls pressuring me to sign. In the last hour i have called them and said I no longer wish to continue with the claim and with this been hurled abuse by the so called MD. I havent signed anything but they have my bank details.
This company is pure scam and rude. Their customer service is fab when you are going along with them but appaling when you wish to leave, He called said i was cutting off my nose to spite my face.
What should i do know? pleas help,
