My wife gets Dragon Pass access through her Barclays account. They used to issue Airport Angel cards but these are now Dragon Pass. We've used them a couple of times in recent months.

thats what I used when we went away last month. Added the Travel Plus Pack to my account for 1 month (no contract)

used the pass for 4 people, cancelled 2 days after we got back.

£78 worth of pass for £13.50!

I had an Airport Angels card for years until they were ditched. I've read before about the technique you describe but never actually done it.

How long does it take the card to come through once you add the pack? Do you have to apply, receive, use it and cancel within a calendar month?

you can download the app, and its more or less shows up straight away as it attached to you Barclay account (you marry up passes/app via a special link you get the Barclays Advisor)


trouble is now, they've changed the T&Cs, where before you can add on, use and remove for 1 month, there is a min contract of 6 months, which is handy if you go away once a month, but as a one off holiday, its not the best solution as 13.50 x 6 = £81


The Travel Pack + gets you 6 visits individually, or 1 group visit of 6 people, 2 visits of 3 etc

We are also using the DragonPass from Barclays. I added the pack to my account on August 16th, and will use the 3 of the passes on Monday 29th August going on holiday and the 3 remaining passes on Monday 12th September when we come home (that's if I can find the lounge at Punta Cana airport!). I will then remove the pack on Tuesday 13th September and pay Barclays £13.50 for all lounge visits - Thanks Barclays (I never thought I'd say that).


Barclays are changing their T&Cs as from 1st September, so if you take out the Travel Pack Plus before then you can still cancel at any time, after 1st September the price goes up from £13.50 to £15.50 and you need to keep the pack on your account for a minimum of 6 months.

What is the best lounge for Heathrow? Been told number 1 is quite nice and have got a price of £55. Is it worth it?
