Afternoon All
Showery here but have put DDs bedding out as the sun is shining at the moment. Got up early and put oil on the deck this morning and then it rained, it looks ok but not sure how it will be later. Also cut the grass as the bin men come tomorrow, just need to clean out the hens but there is one in there at the mo so wont disturb it.
Late night at work last night as it's very busy and the weather was glorious, back in at 5 tonight.
Hugs to all, hope you have a lovely party JackieO, keep recovering Candy, good luck for the new job MrsR and happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs MeanMarie. Take care. XX0 -
watching Marley and Me tonight on tv
Make sure you have a box of tissues ready!:rotfl:
Well my brother decided to more or less spring his visit on me. Had text to say him and his new GF were on way and would be here in half hour. I'd just put hair dye on  :rotfl: cue mass tidy and hoover whilst dye was working! luckily he was late so had time to make myself decent just before they got here. His new GF seems nice, way better than his skanky stabby ex! I do wish my bro would sort his life out a bit though, he is still acting like he is 18 when he is almost 28.
Sun has come out nowso I'm gonna go out and sit by the sea with a book for an hour or so, now the F1 is over. Then I will do some Ebaying tonight.
OS update - hoovered, kitchen cleaned, bathroom cleaned
Have a good afternoon all

Good afternoon everyone, and a happy anniversary to Meanmarie and her husband, and to the couple who had theirs the day before!
It's 2.10 am here, and I just finished cooking twenty minutes ago! Had a good sleep in though as no choir todayIt has been an interesting day weather-wise with the second rainstorm battering the windows as I type. In between it was cloudy but warm -- distinctly odd for a winter's day.
The 'experimental shepherd's pie' turned into 'experimental stew', but I ended up mincing the whole kilo of corned beef silverside as I had no way of storing the rest (rather messy, and no room on my fridge shelf for more stuff atm). The stew is very salty and I suspect it woudln't be so bad if I hadn't used Oxo beef stock, as I had five different vegetables in there, including potato, to redress the balance. Still, it tastes fantastic and apart from the additives in the corned beef (E numbers and sugar...) totally healthy to boot.
On the baking side, I've made two loaves of white bread today: one for sandwiches at work and another for my three flatmates to help themselves to. One of my flatmates thinks I'm a bread geek because I've made so many loaves in the last two weeks. She may have a point: it's been every two days or so, and I haven't been finishing them. Little does she know I've yet to get it consistently right! :rotfl:Anyway, I must get to bed. I have to be up in five hours' time for work. Have a great evening, everyone!0 -

Evening all
It's been a lovely sunny day here but is clouding up a bit now. We have been to a community event in St Andrew's Park this afternoon which was lovely. We went to see DF's GF of 11 years (they met at 15) dancing Samba. The sunshine was lovely and quite hot. On our way home we stopped at a harbourside pub for a diet coke and a J20 and that was nice too.
OH is spoiling me and cooking roast pork (whoopsied of course) and roasties. We will have it with cauli and broccoli cheese and carrots and peas. Yum!
Two loads of washing dried on the line which was great as we've had some heavy showers here the last few days.
Congrats on your anniversary Meanmarie and Mr MM. Ours is 37 years next month.......
Will spend the evening watching a Kipling bag on e-bay that I have my eye on. Wish me luck.
Sending hugs and things for those who need them.
Have a good evening

I am stuffed!! decided i didn't want belly of pork, so cooked that for OH and the dog and i had sausages and mash. yum yum.
BIL has come to pick up some of his stuff, hopefully he'll collect the rest soon. Didn't speak to us when he was here, so he's still in a mood. Nevermind!
Going to chill now till work tomorrow, it's got really sunny so am tempted to do another wash in the WM and get it on the line before the sun goes down.

Boil up some water with sugar in, and the juice of a couple of your limes, let this cool, and use it as liquid for your fruit salad x0
