Morning all
We've been in the garden this morning picking onions, garlic, runner beans, cucumber, peas, carrots & calabrese. We stopped for breakfast at 9:30 & hubby is now planning his winter planting. I need to finish my floordrobe which is 90% sorted & do my roots, exciting here isn't it.
Stuffed breast of lamb for dinner here, we'll eat about 6 or 7 as the GP is on at lunchtime & hubby has a burger ina bun then, I've cooked extra sausages so he can have sausage & onion sarnies for his packup on Monday & Wednesday. I have 6 eggs left & more being delivered today, so I'll hardboil the old 6 for next weeks packups too. I have one more load of washing to do & then that's finished, but it will probably have to dry on the maiden as it's very still & cloudy here.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

MMarie - happy anniversary!!
Morning folks,
Grandad is gonig for a chest x ray today, I've put plans to see him on hold as i was so ill earlier last week, and am still recovering, and don't think my germyness will go down too well. He's a bit more stable i think, will know more later hopefully.
OH's parents have gone to the holiday house in Devon this week and left all their fresh food out for us to pick up as they won't eat it before it goes off, so we've not got plenty of fruit, potatoes, veggies, bacon, lunch meats and a few cheeky treats like cakes and also a pizza which i will snack on throughout the day. They've also invited us to join them next weekend, so if OH isn't harvesting we'll drive down there friday night for a cheeky weekend break. I need to get away from it all really, so will be great if we can.
BIL appears to have moved out, he had an arguement with OH last night, and doesn't see we are trying to help him out, so he stormed out, and we've not seen him since, he text this morning to say he wanted to come pick up his stuff. This is still his bail address and if the police come to do a spot check and he's not here, he'll be in trouble. But he knows best, so just going to have to let him get on with it.
Got the WM on, dinner is belly of pork with roasties, veggies and some stuffing if i get down to the shop and get some!
batch made some soup for my lunches in the week, OH will have the variety of fresh meats/pat!s that we have inherited.
Plan to spend the rest of the day watching movies and reading.
Have a lovely day all

Morning All,
Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs MeanMarie.
Have been mia for a few days as RL kicked in. Have actually been out three times this week, hospital, knitting club:) & a shopping trip to Primarni  needless to say was very sore & shattered yesterday so did not do very much at all.
Today I have picked some green beans, lettuce, spinach, gooseberries & potatoes. Also picked & frozen some dill, thyme, basil, mint & some borage flowers & collected seeds from two Aqualegia that had self seeded in the garden, one pink & one purple. Lots of tomatoes in the GH all still green tho'.
1.5k gammon that I was going to put in SC last night now in PCwill be making lentil soup or dip with the stock later.
Washing two loads done just waiting for DD to get up & put it on line for me, am also hoping she will have time to wash my hair for me before her bf comes over. DS at his dads for a few days so food shopping can take a back seat :T & DP has popped out to pick up a freeview box for DD that has been given by a kind freecycler so I am going to peruse the threads with a coffee for a bit then make some lunch to have while watcing GP.
Hope you all have a good day OS or not x

Afternoon all
Was sunny here but now the rain has started once again, good job I didn't do a car boot, DS1 is desperate to do one so I have promised we will do one next Sunday as long as its fine.
Fish, salad and new potatoes from the garden today for dinner, something has eaten 1/2 a head of cabbage overnight - grrrr, thinking of picking the other two that are ready to be picked and freeze them so whatever doesn't get these either.
Otherwise a quiet day planned, DS2 has to finish a project off for school so I'll be helping out no doubt and sort out a few bits for the car boot.0 -

Morning All,
Damp here today, which is a shame as it was lovely yesterday. We went to Linlithgow Palace which is the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, there was a jousting spectacular on - the Swiss contingent came and a fabulous time was had by one and all. The rain held off until about 3.30 when we got drenched, but we just found nooks and crannies in the castle (its a ruin, sadly) to hide from the rain in.
Happy anniversary to Meanmarie and her lovely husband today, I hope you have a lovely day.
Also belated happy anniversary to Anniestar and Mark for yesterday, I got a message from Ann last night, she hopes to be online next week once she has finished her marking.
Quite day planned today, we are off to B&Q for a couple of tools for OH (which means he can do a wee job for me) and Carphone Warehouse to check out a new phone for me, mine is rubbish and driving me nuts.
Back to work tomorrow, so after our wee outing, I shall be getting organised and ready for back there. Can't believe my two weeks have gone by so quickly.
Have a lovely day, hugs spoons and hi fives as required.

Afternoon all
Well it has been torrential rain here all morning so far with quite a bit of thunder and lightening. Today is the last day of my 2 week summer break and I go back to a new job tomorrow. So feeling a little nervous and apprehensive!
I have been keeping myself busy today though updating my 'Preparing for Winter' List and getting little jobs done around the house.
Roast shoulder of pork for dinner this evening with potatoes, carrots and peas from the garden. I also have a glut of beetroot so seen a nice honey roasted recipe online so will be doing that as a trial tooGoal - We want to be mortgages free :j
