can you see any network names when you click on the wireless network icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen (If you have it)?

Peer-to-peer (or ad hoc) mode is for connecting wirelessly directly to another computer. To connect to a wireless router you need to use infrastructure mode instead. In wireless network properties, untick the 'This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network; wireless access points are not used' box. If it doesn't allow you to untick it, add a new wireless network and then remove the old one.Goitster wrote:it just says wireless network conn (peer to peer)0 -
Good day all. To recap I have got the laptop hard wired and connected, but still unable to connect wirelesly. The network stumbler says no aps active. And I cannot follow Chippies instructiions. Do you think it might be something really simple like I need to tick a box somewhere?Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

Do you not have the rights to follow chippies instructions create a new w/network? Can you browse/search for available networks ?
Or do you just not understand them ?Rich people save then spend.
