Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Loyalty is only rendered if the retailer in question offers the best deals :) Resist the urge to buy something just for the sake of racking up points.

Of course, must remember to use this site's LoyaltyChecker :)

    1. Get things FREE! Over the past year on MSE my OH and I have had £60 in Boots Vouchers, £70 in Pizza Hut Vouchers and 5 CDWOW £7.99 Vouchers totally free though Pigsback. We have also had free clothes and shoes (Empire Stores/Kitbag/M&M Direct no min spend codes), chocolates, drinks, cleaning products, beauty products...always check HOTUKDEALS and here for vouchers, freebies and you'll always get a treat in the post!

    2. Make sure you save advantage points/nectar/whsmiths/staples/etc but only spend on what you need, not to build points.

    3. use cashback sites as a BONUS not as a budgeted income.

    4. Shop smart - ie, a lynx gift set is £7 but the items seperately can be as little as £2. Go to pound shops - you'd be suprised what they offer. Don't buy shampoo/conditioner in them though - own brand supermarket/wilkos is just as good and a third of the price.

    5. Don't spend money on making yourself feel better because you are in debt. It's a vicious circle. Work on being debt free, happy and healthy. You aren't 'missing out', it's a worthwhile temporary sacrifice.
