Morning all

I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday.

We're off to the in-laws in a little while, I'm not looking forward to the long drive. DS is going to his dad today so we'll drop him off at the house on the way. All veg from yesterday is going in the bin - sorry not OS but we're not going to be here to use it up. The turkey was delicious and so moist. DH's present to me of a carving set was actually an inspired idea as it made carving the turkey an absolute joy instead of a chore. Never had such good knives before, I'll have to invest in a few more.

• Morning all, Happy Boxing Day :D:D

Am taking it easy this morning as OH is at work and my folks are due this afternoon to tea :)

Had a lovely day yesterday, just me and OH for dinner. Visited both sets of parents and my brother first, but the best part of teh day for me was finally ringing my 'old' best friend and catching up, ( well part one of the session anyway, part 2 scheduled for about lunchtime today ). Have really missed not talking to her, but we picked back up where we left off so it feels like nothing has really changed.

Off out on the bike in a bit, just to get some fresh air really, but after all the food that I ate yesterday and have planned for today need to re assess my diet and exercise routines :D

AussieLass, looks like the England boys had too much festive cheer down under...................... but at least I got to have my fix of Brett Lee at Christmas, as Father Christmas didn't quite managed to get both him and Andrew Strauss in my stocking ( better luck next year :D)

(((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to all , try and have a relaxing day and remember that the diet and housework can be put on hold for at least another 24 hours

Hope everyone is having a fab Christmas. Boys actually had a lie in yesterday (8am :D) and they loved all their pressies. Family came later and I cooked enough to feed an army. Wouldn't be xmas without a family argument though .... neice (17) and nepphew (12) against my sis!! Have to say if they were my kids they wouldn't get away with talking to me like they did!! I was disgusted with my neice, but hey .... she chose to sit in a freezing cold car for an hour cos we wouldn't do what she wanted :rotfl:

Anyway, nothing planned for today. Mr TM wants to go into Debenhams to buy a coat and will then take boys for a long walk through the woods. I may go out.... or I may chill .... or I may go next door for a drink cos her boys/DH are going to the footie. If I go next door, I've promised her I'll wear the new outfit my MIL sent me........ a pink velour leisure, sorry, leeeeeesure suit   OMG - does she see me as a 75 yo american with 17 cameras around my neck and a matching husbad LOL . Believe me, they are NOT fashionable :D

Have a great day everyone. Catch ya later.

well christmas started off well but a few disasters in the afternoon.
DS got a mobile from orange. in the morning couldnt get through to register. ( I know should have done it sooner :() finally got through on a bad phone line to what might have been India. had to repeat everything more than once. anyway no text arrived to activate the sim card....phoned back. eventually got through to technical help line...only to get message this office is closed. tried the registration number again only to get a computerised service...no humans!
then the neighbour brought a present round.....knew I had forgotten to buy a present :(
all piled in the car....realised at the roundabout we had forgotten one of the presents...came back....on the motorway remembered I didnt have the key to get in. Granny lives in a block of flats with a dodgy intercom entry thingy.
then when we got there as the dinner burned in the oven one of the guests did her usually late entrance despite saying she would be on time. next time I dont start dinner until I see the whites of her eyes...Do I sound stressed ;)

anyway it was a lovely day...

today might have a wander at the sales. and there is a huge mess here needing tidying up.

morning everyone

The kids had a lie in till 6.30 today:mad: and since then they have been playing their favourite game -arguing with each other:rolleyes: .

Going to make a start on putting the pressies in their relevant rooms today instead of a heap on living room floor!

Going to my mums today for tea, she bought my eldest and my sisters 5yo twins each a mouth organ for Christmas  . Considering ringing sis and asking her to take theirs to mums today so all 3 kids can play a tune to nanny as a thank you:rotfl:

Would love to hit the sales but won't get chance today and DH returns to work tomorrow and I am NOT taking 2 kids shopping with me:p , so will have to leave it till w/end.

Have a great Boxing Day everyone

Morning all :hello:

We usually have to wake the kids on Christmas day - it's US that can't wait :D Not this year. DS (aged 16!!!!!!) set his alarm for 6am yesterday, jumped out of bed, ran into our room and dived onto our bed shouting "GET UP IT'S CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" :rotfl: I was going "Nooooooo. OK then but get me a strong coffee first. Oh no, wait, you can't go downstairs yet. Oh sod, I'll have to get it meself" :D

I did some washing on Christmas Eve, came down this morning and found it, still in the machine  It's having a re-wash as I type

Everyone wants another Christmas dinner today, just as well there's lots of leftovers. The only thing I have to do is go into the garden to pick the sprouts and peel some potatoes. Actually for "I" read "mr tru", he insists on cooking Christmas dinner, while I sit at the breakfast bar and watch while drinking bacardi and coke :rotfl:

But ooooohhhh soooo comfy LOL:rotfl: just remember to take it off and wash it before Easter:p Talking of head shakingly odd gifts, I got a Mobile but for 'bits' I received two california dusters thingies and a sponge scourer from two of the MATHLETTS purchased by Mrs MATH from Lakeland:confused: I know some OS'rs think Lakeland is the bees-knees but as far as I can see it's the same tat I can get at the Poundshopp but with a million percent mark up! My last california duster thingie last 15 years and as I now own two I guess I have another 30 years of shifting other peoples dead skin cells ahead of me - Merry Christmas!!!! After that exciting start to the day my interest and enthusiasm soon faded.
Kidz were pleased with their gifts (mobiles for the older two, football goal nets and ball for littlie) and all were well behaved, meal was fine, telly !!!!!! - next year if they cancelled Christmas (apart from Church stuff) I wouldn't miss it.
Off to SIL's today for lunch and an oogle at her new conservatory. The first person to ask me if I had some luuuurvly things for Christmas will find places only their doctor should visit suddenly dust free:D

Good morning everyone,

So glad that everyone had a lovely christmas, even with a few 'mishaps' along the way!!! Ours was brillient, had a lovely day, lots of food and drink, chocolate and presents and the children loved, and were grateful for everything they got, which made it all worthwhile.
Today, is taking it easy day, we will be having bubble and squeak with yesterdays leftovers, and this afternoon, a friend is coming round with her daughters for a drink and nibbles, so that will be nice.
Im not sure if many shops are open in Plymouth today, the Next sale starts tomorrow, so thats when we will be going in, and will check out the other sales then too, i ned some bathroom 'furniture' for my new downstairs loo. We normally get up early and go in, then treat ourselves to a cooked breakfast late morning, keeps them happy whilst im shopping (even happier when its them im buying for!!!)
Right, off for a bath and a hair wash, my shower isnt working, so im having to fill the sink with water to rinse my hair, its a pain but does the job.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning All

PP: What a lovely present from your parents.
TM: Please post a picture in your leeeeeesure suit.

Our day didnt go as planned really, in the morning the kitchen tap washer went so DH spent quite awhile trying to sort that out. Later we went to my dad and step-mums for dinner. The meal was not the best and there wasnt enough seats, think that somebody may have been trying to say something so we wont be repeating that next year. My dad also had a rather abrupt conversation with my sis on the phone while we were there and I know that she is really upset about it. Its so difficult when you only have one parent and they are completely under somebody elses influence.

Today we are off to in-laws later, DD is buzzing already so I know she will over the moon to see her GM and GD. Before then I need to do some tidying and also get a load of washing on otherwise I get behind.

Have a lovely Boxing Day everyone
