    Hi all

I'm doing okay, in for the rest of the day now.

    £5.01 in Tesco earlier
£31.34 on 100 cigs which will last me most of the rest of the month (I'm failing quitting completely so am cutting down and trying to actually budget for it so I stop scuppering myself!!)

I went out this afternoon down to a local garden centre with friends who have a young daughter, to see the animals there who I love - one of the goats in particular. So that was free and fun! Then we went to a big playing fields we used to go to when we were little and played on stuff (with the child...mostly ;)) - I confess I went on a swing and two roundabouts and loved it! But didn't spend anything and had a lovely afternoon :D

So a total so far of £36.35/£40 for the week. The only other thing I actually plan to buy is some more milk mid-week. We'll see!

Have a nice week everyone and hope you've enjoyed your weekends.

Only spent £1.80 today :) started work at 6am and finished at 9am so there were no shops open for me to buy biscuits and drinks etc (always my downfall) and I managed to resist the call of the McDonalds breakfast.

Apologies all the colours and stuff seem to have gone a bit weird I hope I have sorted everything out now. I was using a different computer and it was doing very strange things.

LC it was your week to start but I thought you had a fair bit on your plate so didn't want to add extra stress. All yours for next week:D

Karen is trying your saving jars sound like an interesting idea, are they actual jars?

  • Hiyas all xx yea they are actually the small kilner jars, tucked behind my curtains on bedroom windowsill easy to get in and out of i got 1 for my grocery challenge which started at £300 on 1st for the month, my elec jar which is prepaid havent changed it since we moved in £50 in starting at beginning of the month £150 each for hubby and me, xmas bonus challenge which i put £1.20 a day in and a kitty jar which has any left over cash from tax credits in for icecream van if little un wants an icecream or we need busfare etc we sue what is left over if we need anything for the home etc.everything else is d/d but its making a massive difference as my hubby isnt taking the odd £30 out of bank a few times a week and actually wont break into a tenner now he has to take it out of jar lol, we are seriously competitive :) had NSD today but im going to tesco and argos tomorrow need a new shower curtain and loo seat and bits in tesco hope everyone is well xx

    Hi all

Congrats to those of you who have had NSDs. I only spent £2 today, and £4 yesterday. So £6 so far :D

At the moment it looks like I may finish the week well within my budget, but it's not through choice - OH hasn't been paid STILL so hasn't been able to pay me the rest of the rent he owes me, therefore I have no money to spend even if I wanted to! But I've got enough food in the house which I can also take for lunch at work, so it's no drama....for now!

  • Haven't spent anything yet, but need to try and get a cheap waterproof jacket and post an ebay parcel today. I am going to a festival on Thursday but that is separate spending money.
