What flipping law are you on about, I never mentioned a law. What the flipping heck are you on about? Show me where I mentioned a law.
Now I know you're trolling. I have told which car they would be needed in, why haven't you bothered to look. Oh sorry, I forgot, trolls do do google, do they. Did you not even look at the link I so kindly provided for you?
You really are unhinged, aren't you.
So you didnt say this then?Originally Posted by Flyboy152

So show me the legislation which states that they HAVE to buy the extra speedometer.
please just show me and stop stalling..

Again where did I mention law?
But then, it would help if you actually read the post, wouldn't it.
I'll point out the relevant bits for you and then you can decide whether you really want o be shown up.if they want to use that particular car as a driving school car
Oops....it was the same bit you highlighted, now there's something a bit odd, isn't it?
I'll give you another clue:
Hologramatic speedometers and driving tests.
Aah....I've given the game away now.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Oh i read them all. Im asking for you to give me proper links and reference to where it states that if learning to drive in a yaris(the car in the pic) has to have a secondary speedometer. You were the one who said they must and now im asking for you to show me. Why is it so hard for you to do this?
Why,flyboy? Why?one of the famous 50 -

Why,flyboy? Why?
Another question for you:
Does a driving test examiner need to see the speedometer during a driving test? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

This is what you do - evade the question with another back. When i took my driving test she looked across at my speedo.
When i was learning to drive he never.

According to this e-mail from the DSA, the answer is no. (personal name removed so e-mail doesn't breech MSE policy)Thank you for your email dated 06/05/08.
I can confirm that your granddaughter can present a private vehicle for her practical driving test; however it must be mechanically sound and in a roadworthy condition. The fact that the speedometer is digital and/or not clearly visible from the passenger seat will not prevent the test from going ahead.
For your convenience, I have listed below the DSA policy for candidates wishing to take their test in a private vehicle:
All equipment by law must be fitted and working correctly. The controls, seating, equipment or any other articles in the vehicle must be arranged so that they do not interfere with the conduct of the test. The vehicle does not need to be fitted with dual controls.
The vehicle will be deemed unsuitable for testing if:
·it has no clear view to the rear – other than by use of the exterior mirrors,
·is fitted with only a driver’s seat,
·it is loaded or partly loaded.
You will be required to supply an extra rear view mirror for use by the examiner which is available from most car accessory stores. L-plates (or D-plates in Wales) must be clearly visible on the front and rear of the vehicle. The car must have a seatbelt and headrest fitted as standard to the front passenger seat – a slip-on type head restraint will be unsuitable.
Additionally, the car must be a smoke free environment due to recent legislation regarding smoking in the workplace.
You may wish to contact your insurance company to verify that you are covered to take the test in your vehicle as this will be asked on the day of the test.
When driving the vehicle you are required by law to be accompanied by someone who has a full EC/EEA licence in the category you are learning for more than 3 years, and is also aged 21 or over. If you wish for that person to accompany you on the test you must advise the examiner at the time of the test.
Please check that your vehicle is not on our recall list. You can find the recall list on our website https://www.direct.gov.uk/motoring.
Please do not hesitate to contact us again should you require any further assistance.
Yours sincerely,

Even if the examiner was to look at a conventional analogue speedometer that is on the opposite side of the car, they wouldn't be seeing a true indication due to Parallax error.0 -
Oh dear flyboy another nail in your unfounded and unfactual statements. Guess we wont be seeing you on this threa again. Or we will see you asking for posts to be deleted as in the brighthouse thread.

Go on then, prove me wrong is all i ask.one of the famous 50 -

I have asked you repeatedly to show me where I have stayed anything about the law. Your reluctance to do so proves only one hing....i doesn't exist. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
