Anyone have problems using OE with IE7. Friend of mine has just rung up and said that since IE7 was installed every time they use OE it doesn't bring back any new messages. Checking on the webmail the messages are there.
She doesn't seem to be able to send messages via OE either.0 -

It is possible that your computer is set to disconnect when it is idle. To check if an idle disconnect option is set on your computer do the following.
Open the Control Panel and double click on Internet Options.
Click the Connections tab, highlight your dialup connection and click the Settings button.
Click the Advanced button in the Dial-up Settings section of the screen.
Uncheck Disconnect if idle for [ ] minutes.
Click OK, and OK again, and OK once more. The new settings should take effect the next time you connect
keep me posted

Sorry - tried to do it yesterday, but there were glitches with the forum and i couldn't find the post.
I did as you suggested, and also unticked the other box which said something about disconnecting if the task is complete ( or something)
Anyway, it seems to have done the trick, and everything is now working fine - thanks for the help. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
