  • I've stayed in quite a few TLs but the only one I'd never stay in again is Farringdon - horrible!

So if your desperate for rooms i'd say either stay up, or get up around 3.00am

Of course I remember Chris. I hope that the banter is as good tonight. I like pubs and I like TLs.

Not as bad as a Friday night in Blyth though!

Claire - they start appearing about 2.30am. You will miss the bargains if you are slumbering until then.

Young people today, no stamina. When I was your age n etc etc etc

Claire that's too late, you need to be at least 2.5 hours earlier,

they do start to put rooms on around 3.00am, if you come on at 6.00am you will find the site does crash.

Good luck to you, if you don't get on early, but if you look at the link i posted people started to post there booked rooms around 3.30 - 4.00am

Apart from London, I really am a great TL fan. I am lucky am retired (virtually) and I can indulge in my hobby of travel as cheaply as possible.

For what it is worth, good TLs to visit are:

    1. Carlisle centre
    2. Scarborough
    3. Manchester Sportcity
    4. York
    5. Edinburgh (but not in the winter)

Newcastle Central is great for a few days, but if anyone is planning a visit, try Newcastle Gosforth - just a few miles away but well worth a visit if only for the pub adjoining.

    Any other ideas peeps?
