Set up a trust to pay for a few nurses just to pay for the elderly ward at my local hospital to have care to feed the elderly rather than put a tray down and find they cannot reach it or are too poorly to feed themselves. When I was last there a gent was begging me to get him water. So I understand the nurses are over worked so would like to make sure care is there at feeding time. With all those millions dont think I would miss the money
The nurses would be commanded to do what the elderley wanted, as in visit to loo, removed sanitary bottles etc...and showers and food of course, like I woudl hope is there when I get old if in that predicament.
I would have it monitored by age uk or along that line too0 -
would using £2,000,000 to buy lottery tickets (and the "plus 5") be naughty!
Wonder how much i'd win back.... lolLaters

£66m to charity - Cancer Research, BHF, wildlife charities, Alzheimers, AIDs research etc.
£25m to my partner and £25m to my mother.
Buy a second home in a nice area, maybe abroad.
Buy a Porsche.
And then I'd probably struggle to think of things to do. Maybe put some aside to generate intrest for more charitable donations. Take a friend of mine to Vegas. Take another to Canada.
Just enjoy life a bit more.0 -
Predictably I'd buy a house. Then I'd buy the (monstrous) house that was built where my Granny's house was, flatten it and build something smaller and more in keeping with the surrounding area (which has a serious shortage of affordable housing so I'd much rather build something sensible and much needed at cost to myself than see that massive, unneccessary, ugly thing languish on the market for another four years). Then there would be charitable donations, sponsorship of/donations to a couple of sports teams my OH and I support, and OH has lots of personal and work projects he wants to fund (he always complains that I'm "so pragmatic" about my lottery win dreams).0

How much would it cost to buy the government? I'm guessing more than 166 million0

I think life would be "unbearable" if you let it get unbearable. I would keep quiet only for the sake of my mum and sister because they tend to assume the worst and assume you'd end up kidnapped sooner or later.
If I was on my own i'd happily go public with it.
I have about half a dozen people who I would sort out financially. I'd pay off their debts and get them some nice things. I'd then set up a fund, maybe in a high interest account, that would guarantee all their bills are paid for life - Sky, Council Tax e.t.c.
Then I'd set up another fund to guarantee them all an sizeable income for life as well, and i'd give them all lump sums on top of that - £5 - £10 million each maybe.
As far as myself goes, I'd probably buy a new flat somewhere decent, near to my family. I don't see the point of buying a huge house where you may end up just being miserable. I wouldn't try and live like a millionaire - i'd continue living my life as it is now, but with complete financial security.0 -
I'd go further 'round the bend than I already am.0

The first things I would do:
- Pay off DH`s debt!
- Move into a hotel pronto and give up my rented house.
- Pay off debts for people who have helped me on here (inc those who have supported me)
- Buy a house with multiple bedrooms, a swimming pool, gym, games room and all modern fittings and fixtures.
- Buy my mum and dad a bungalow and have them live easily with care.
- Put £millions in my childrens savings accounts
- Learn to drive and get a car.
- Buy my DH an X5!
- Buy a holiday home
- travel abroad - never been!
- Donate money to my childrens school and local hospitals.
- Go on a big holiday with all my family!
- Pay off debts within the family.
- Study interior design.
- Enjoy the rest.....
