So, it's the highest possible win on the Euromillions tonight with an estimated jackpot of £166, 000, 000.

Who has bought a ticket and what would you do with all that money?

The first things I would do:
  • Buy a house with 10+ bedrooms, a swimming pool and huge garden for summer BBQs - with staff to keep the place all nice and tidy
  • Surgery - liposuction and a boob job!
  • Pay mortgage on current house and give it to my lodger
  • Pay Mum & Dad's mortgages on home and their B2L properties
  • Buy my Dad a B&B to run - his idea not mine!
  • Buy my Mum a holiday home in Spain
  • Buy a nice apartment in London - I love that place
  • Go on a big holiday in Hawaii/Australia...somewhere hot!
  • Pay off friend's mortgage and finance on her car
  • Buy myself a nice white BMW convertable
I'm sure this list would grow much longer if I actually won the cash!

I can dream....

    I've bought four tickets:rotfl:

My list would be the ususal house, cars etc but I would certainly take professional financial advice and set up my family for years to come a member of my extended family won a large amount on the lottery about 16 years ago and its bought nothing but unhappiness because they thought they knew best and now its all gone and the debts are mounting, dosent put me off though;)
Thank you for this site Martin

I wouldn't tell anyone for starters...life would be unbearable.

Sort family out first..without them knowing who was doing it ;)
Buy a house with a swimming pool and tennis court and a house abroad somewhere.

Then I'd enjoy buying houses for the homeless and charities associated with them.

Help set up credit unions in poor areas
    GC - Oct £36.17/£31
    GC - Sep £35.56/£30:o
    GC - Aug £30.73/£31
    GC - Jul £30.80/£31
  • With that amount of money I would

Buy a massive place in the country to live in at the weekends.

Buy a nice house closer to work so that I longer had to go through 3 hours of travelling everyday.

Give everyone I know £25000 with the hope that it would in someway make their lives better. Friends would get £50000.

Pay off my Employers company debts so that they had a clean sheet.

Buy my brother a House and give him a million.

Buy my mum a house and give her a couple of million.

Give my nan a million. She owns her home and being a widow she has NO desire to move as she still feels my grandad is there with her. (In a nice normal healthy way, not a freaky demented way)

Pay off my girlfriends parents mortgage and give them £250000

    Give her sister £250000.

    Give her brother £250000.

Buy a really Expensive Car. Probably a top of the range Merc E-Class. A Bently in black.

Buy a top of the range Skoda Superb just so I can annoy boy racers, Volvo and Bmw drivers by sitting up their !!!! in a Skoda.

Go on a major shopping spree and buy a really expensive watch.

Pay off my Debts, My Girlfriends Debts, My Brothers Debts and my mums.

Take my Nan to China because she really wants to go.

Get a couple of pet dogs.

Stick the rest in savings accounts until I can thing of what to do with it.

Truthfully though I would probably give a large amount of it away. It would mean more to me to change the lives of friends and family than to stick it all in the bank to get interest off it. I would still be stinking rich.

well I'll not tell anyone ^_~
First pay off all debts and buy my house (that will account for around 0.009% of my winnings....0_o )
    stick £4m in instant access
i'll play with £10m in stocks and shares
£10m into a pension fund (just incase i blow the lot!!)
stick the rest in long-term (+10y) accounts and have 50% of that interest sent to my Instant account a month/year if possible.

With the interest alone i'll make over £1m a year so i'll probably do some "Secret Millionaire" style stuff giving money to those that deserve it.

oh! i'll probably tell my family my "win" was a modest couple of hundred thousand, and give them all equal shares. ^__~

I'll probably then live a life of travelling to those Technology shows where all the cool stuff is shown before going on the market and buying all access VIP pass to things like comi-con ^_^

    I'll feed my geek-tech addiction...

    oh!
    i'd buy an Island...

Not some where fancy, but there's a little island just off the coast and it's currently owned by a bunch on "new-age" monks, I'm sure they are pacifists, so I can kick them off or buy them out easily ..^_~ lol (JOKE!)

Actually the island was on sale for over 5 years for £2.5m it's a great quiet place!

Then i'd entertain myself inviting all those "Double glazing" & "Luxury kitchen" people you know those annoying ones that get the bad press... ^_^ love to see them try and get to my island...

Do you think it's legal to have Cannons to defend my island.. Hmmm.... lol

    I would:

    Retire from work.

Sort all of my close family out financially, buy houses etc.

Buy a big house, nice cars.

Buy a stake in local football club, or at least a corporate box.

    Book some holidays.

Put x amount into savings and investments, so that it cannot be frittered away. Do the same for my children.

Donate cash to my old schools, donate cash to local places that mean something to me.

Try to set up some sort of legacy, maybe a trust for good causes, a charitable annual event or something like that?

Many more things that I haven't thought of yet.

Have to say, I know it's mean, but I'd make sure my bumhole of an ex knew all about it!
