  • fabulous news on the school front. Thats another box ticked. The house sounds amazing too and you sound all organised.

    Good day!

  • Whats that they say about best laid plans?!

Got the curtains washed then decided to get Tesco out of the way but decided to go via Boots to use my £5 No7 voucher to get some bright nail varnish for £2.

Great idea. No7 is on 3 for 2 so also got face cream and mascara and a freebie eyeshadow thing...£16.50.

Then, as I was walking out, spotted the perfect xmas present for MIL. Christmas stuff is also on 3 for 2. £30 later, I'd purchased presents for 6 people.

Then, in Tesco, still in xmas shopping mode, got 3 stocking fillers and an advent calendar for DS and selection boxes for smallest step-brothers. £13.

    Oops...
  • it was a spree!

  • Gooooood morning diaryland!

Hope everyone's had a good weekend?

We've (when I say "we" I mean DH...) had a very productive weekend! The living room is well on the way to being finished - all the glossing and the ceiling are done and tonights job is another coat on the ceiling and mist coating the new plaster and then colour for the walls. Carpet is being laid on Tuesday evening and then the furniture can go back in!

Only downside is that Wednesday will have to be cleaning day lol!

Got a little piccie to share too - bump at 38 weeks...

...any bets on how much longer until I actually explode?

Money wise, we've entered the slightly strapped phase of the month. All the bills are paid and we have plenty of food so with a little careful management it should be absolutely fine. If necessary we have our emergency fund that we can dip into.

I've got a very busy week ahead so could do without baby arriving until Friday at the earliest :D! Not to mention we could do with Thursday's tax credits to pay for the hospital parking :rotfl:
  • Thanks Ted! Just really looking forward to getting straight and getting into a routine with the baby so we can shift our focus back to the debts and to the future! I like to have a plan or at least an idea of where I'm heading and this sort of "stagnant" phase while we wait for bubs to be born and the house to be completed has been a real struggle for me!

Although I'm VERY pleased to report there has been no return of the Olympic Hovering :D
  • Ooh lovely bump, you will miss it when its gone....

glad to hear all is ok and well done to DH, he sounds like a productive man! Best type imo!! xx
