    Hiya hun

There's a thread called something like "where do we go from value" which is really interesting - haven't got time to look for it now but will try later for you.

I had an awful spending w/e - ashamed! Wasted money on takeaway amongst other things.

I think I saw that thread over on Old Style a while ago, will search it out in a bit - thanks for reminding me!

It's just so hard to break the habit of a chinese on a Saturday night isn't it? TBH we've only managed it since I've been pregnant and completely gone off chinese food! Just hoping we manage to keep it up when he's here!

Well yesterday was a bit of a failure! Only managed to get to the post office, didn't achieve anything else on my list! Today I really must get my butt in gear and start getting this house ready, I'm really starting to worry about it - everything is packed in boxes and we're still sleeping in the living room!

Getting really fed up with both DH and DS, I seem to be banging my head against a brick wall with them both and I'm sick of running around trying to tidy up after them. Doggles is also having a major moult which clogged up the hoover yesterday so todays first job is fixing that and then hoover up and probably re-clog it. Blah.

Anyway, I've made my PAD this morning which knocks a bit more off CrapOne and I had a statement yesterday from Santanduh so there's only a handful of balances I need to get in order to get my debt file up to date. Need to reclaim a couple of PPI's and have a bash at getting some bank charges back on DH's overdraft.

I did sit down and read the "where to go from value?" thread yesterday afternoon which has given me a bit of food for thought. I tried to discuss it with DH last night but I think it went in one ear and out of the other, especially seeing as he's gone to work without his sandwiches (again) this morning! Honestly, I despair sometimes!

Oh well, onwards and upwards! Looking forward to this weekend - DH is taking me swimming at a lovely hotel down the road :) thoroughly looking forward to being weightless for a little while!

I had to put DH lunch box in the porch on the floor (stone so acts as a fridge) so he doesn't forget his!

So what's the balances at the moment then? x x

Think the only way I could get DH to remember his would be to throw them at him as he walks out of the door lol!!

At the moment balances are (based on my slightly dodgy calculations where I haven't had a statement yet):-

    CrapOne - £1100
    Santandur 1 - £650 (got statement)
    Santandur 2 - £1950 (got statement)
    HSBC - £350
    Provident - £640
    Tesco - £5500
    Black Horse - £5000
    Car HP - £8000
    HFC - £150

I've sent off some letters asking for statements from all of them so hopefully they'll all play ball and I'll have a better idea of where exactly we are!

Well done on getting the letters sent.

    Is Cap1 the highest interest?

I have 7k ish on my Virgin card and 4k ish on Cap1 (many others too) - these are highest interest and I was fighting with myself over who to pay first but for now I am paying virgin as I pay them more £ interest even though APR slightly lower. Once the interest in £'s is lower than Cap1 I may swap over - some days just don't feel like I am getting anywhere!

When I first started seriously attacking the debts we were in big time poop and set up a DMP with the CAB so in a way we're quite fortunate in that most of them have stopped interest. HFC haven't though and thats about 25% ARP which is why even though the balance is the smallest I've been concentrating hardest on this one. CrapOne is definitely next on the hit list though, mainly because I really hate dealing with them!

I know what you mean about not feeling like you're getting anywhere, thats the main reason I joined the Payment a Day thread because even if I only put 1p in my pot I know that at the end of the month that will be sent to the bank. I sound like the perfect Tesco's employee half the time with my "every little helps" mantra that I have to repeat to keep myself on the straight and narrow!

I am making my PAD's via online banking but can't make one every day towards the end of the month lol.

LOL I know what you mean - I've just got so obsessive about PAD-ing that I actually feel guilty if I don't :rotfl:
