what are the rules for sickness and holidays? It's actually fortnightly but I'm away to my Mum's wedding on the date they wanted me to come back in, so they scheduled it for a week and a half instead of the fortnight. And then there's still the fortnightly job centre visit, which might make a weekly trip for some - mine are in the same week, though.0 -
if they wanted a copy of every application i did i would ask if they would reimburse me for the printing costs.Yeah, ten jobs minimum over the two weeks. I usually do about 25-30 over a fortnight so I have no issues with that at all.
Have to bring in a paragraph or so from each of my references so they can forward to employer, so had to rush to get that all sorted in time...
Other than that, we've to bring in a copy of every single application (every cover letter if emailed) to prove that we've applied to the jobs we say we have. They want print outs, I asked if I could email as I'd be spending about £4 a fortnight on printing (might not seem a lot to some, but our budget is stretched so thinly we're left with nothing to spare) and she seemed alright with it.
Still trying to work out the best way to send them all along and cause minimal damage to my advisor's inbox!!!
Other than that, I haven't been given any special requirements. Every company is different, but my company do a fortnightly 'action plan' where we're set targets to have acheived by the next meeting. Mine was just apply for the ten jobs and secure my references. I guess I'll find out what they need next on Monday.
I'll let everybody know

The majority of them were only there because we got £50 worth of High Street Vouchers. 2 people were told to leave after being caught having sex in the toilet and the tutor sort of person rang the police over the smell of cannabbis and they came and searched the lot of us and carted 4 of to the station !!!!!
Hopefully you will have a better experience than this

Memorable day at least! :rotfl:0 -

I would say at a guess they would be the same as JSA - 2 periods of sickness and they take you off and why is anyone who has been out of work 1 year going on holiday?0 -
well the current rules allow 2 weeks a year. i just wondered if that still applied while on the scheme. to answer your question why should anyone be expected to spend all their free time sat at home when they could be out and about. i go fellwalking on 3 short trips a year. unemployed people get tagged with the sat around watching jeremy kyle everyday thing. whats wrong with getting away to do something active for a few days every now and then.why is anyone who has been out of work 1 year going on holiday?0 -
