I have an appointment on Thursday for the work programme. Interestingly, I already have a job but it's in a school and doesn't start 'til September, so I'm not quite sure what any of their' training' will achieve for my own personal circumstances...

I don't know which company you've been set up with, but I know that the one I'm with provide you with support for two years regardless of having a job - they said if you have issues in work you can phone them for advice, support etc. Might be the same with all of them that work in conjunction with the job centre.

    Congratulations on your job!

Everyone who has been signing on for over six months is placed on the programme.
It's not as 'job club' as imagined as it's purely one on one. Really is just like signing on, just far more indepth.

I went to a Job Club many years back, the woman who was in charge of helping create CVs and cover letters was abysmal, I ended up having to correct most of them as they were filled with spelling mistakes and errant apostrophes.

This is a new programme the government set up in June, but can't see how it'd be terribly different to job club...
I already had to do that a couple of times at the job centre! The woman laughed and said I'd be after her job if she wasn't careful.
I said "Yeah, watch your back" and did that over the top laugh then sudden stop, just to make her feel uncomfortable.
Because we've got to entertain ourselves somehow through our interrogations. LOL

I was on FND but the funding to my provider has stopped, so i have been referred back to the jobcentre for another provider to review my cv and skills i need to get back into work.
