10 jobs by the time you next go or ten a day?It included that, yes - studying my CV (luckily they said it was really good and no need to change any of it), asking what I would write in a cover letter, asking where I look for jobs and how I do it. Then there were interview questions (what would you say if you were asked... etc), asking what I'd wear, I've got to go in on Monday for an induction (confused what this was, if not an induction!) and bring statements from my references (so chasing them up over the weekend, which is proving difficult!) and go in on the following Monday for my next session, where they'll go over my 'action plan' and make a new one. Current one is to apply to 10 jobs (which will be no problem at all as I can include the same ones I put in my signing on book - have already almost filled it today) and secure those references for Monday.
Was just over an hour long, and had a lot of asking the same questions again and again. Left it feeling quite drained to be honest, but I don't care how I feel as long as it gets me back into work.0 -
By the time you next go!!! Cripes! I doubt if there ARE 10 new job posts a day!0

Yeah, ten jobs minimum over the two weeks. I usually do about 25-30 over a fortnight so I have no issues with that at all.
Have to bring in a paragraph or so from each of my references so they can forward to employer, so had to rush to get that all sorted in time...
Other than that, we've to bring in a copy of every single application (every cover letter if emailed) to prove that we've applied to the jobs we say we have. They want print outs, I asked if I could email as I'd be spending about £4 a fortnight on printing (might not seem a lot to some, but our budget is stretched so thinly we're left with nothing to spare) and she seemed alright with it.
Still trying to work out the best way to send them all along and cause minimal damage to my advisor's inbox!!!
Other than that, I haven't been given any special requirements. Every company is different, but my company do a fortnightly 'action plan' where we're set targets to have acheived by the next meeting. Mine was just apply for the ten jobs and secure my references. I guess I'll find out what they need next on Monday.
I'll let everybody know

most applications I do are done online with letter andcvalready on a site like Reed or Monster so not sure how or what Id print off there and I do not have a printer so I cant do anyway. How does a copy of a cover letter prove you have applied anyway?
I am up to about 60 every week so if mine is gonna be the same I will be ok there.
'a paragraph or so from each of my references so they can forward to employer,'
You have to get full references from your employers? I only have a 'standard' ref from my last job - just asked for that actually to add to my job applications.
How would they forward to empolyers you are applying to? That makes no sense0 -

could you not use a usb memory stick to transport them, cheap enough to buy and would only need a 512mb or maybe a 256mb would be ok0 -
Everyone who has been signing on for over six months is placed on the programme.
It's not as 'job club' as imagined as it's purely one on one. Really is just like signing on, just far more indepth.
What's sad is the job bemuse should do this. It reaffirms the fact that the job centre is really just a benefit office and not a job centre.
The shame with this is its the same old providers doing the same old iag support with people. The gov has only introduced a new spin no things as well as different coloured forms.
It will still be left for you to find work I guess these schemes give you the confidence you will need to get a job.The harder one works the luckier one gets!0 -

they may try to take credit for the job you have got if they find out about it.EleanorRig wrote: »I have an appointment on Thursday for the work programme. Interestingly, I already have a job but it's in a school and doesn't start 'til September, so I'm not quite sure what any of their' training' will achieve for my own personal circumstances...0
