Job Club. Sorry, "Work Programme".

I'm off to my first 'work programme' session today and have no idea what it's going to be like.
Anybody already been along to one? What should I expect?

LOL I fear you may be right!! I picture it as the job club in Full Monty ;)
Difference being this is meant to be one on one.
Got mixed feelings tbh. If it's really going to help me get a job, I'm excited about it.
If it's going to be like the job centre on speed (twice the interrogation, twice the guilt trip, the same amount of 'help' ie none) then I'm not looking forward to it in the slightest.

Cool, glad to hear it :)
Are they as strict as they like to make out?
I have a letter stating "YOU WILL DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WE TELL YOU TO DO, WHEN WE TELL YOU TO DO IT"... Was a bit intimidating!

Oh dear, i went on one of these about 7 years ago and it was a shocking experience. The majority of them were only there because we got £50 worth of High Street Vouchers. 2 people were told to leave after being caught having sex in the toilet and the tutor sort of person rang the police over the smell of cannabbis and they came and searched the lot of us and carted 4 of to the station !!!!!
Hopefully you will have a better experience than this :o.

haha!! That'd make it worth going too! Be nice to find a new sex partner at the job centre....'citing!!

I went to one a few months back now. Was harmless enough but obviously a waste of time, like all of the little groups and courses that you are sent on by the job centre tend to be.

Only interesting thing that kept me awake whilst there was a lady in the group who didn't have any shoes or socks on - just a filthy pair of feet which I thought was quite amusing. i'm easily amused.

Not long back. Was just an extended version of signing on, really. Hard-going, though....
