If you cannot discuss it, then not sure why you have created a post..?

To ask the question that I did in post one. I didn't realise posters would want to hear all the details which, in hindsight was probably naive of me.

"Holidays from Hell" type shows are cheap filler that largely rely on the tipper offer having lots of home-shot candid video footage - do you have that? They very very rarely will send a unit somewhere as that costs a few days of a few people and covert filming based on a one-off eyewitness report - imagine if they get there and have a lovely time and not have any trouble? They also have to be acutely paranoid about the legal aspects of naming places - they could easily close a place down if it was a small family hotel and all the bookings dried up.

If you have a load of good, sensational video footage, phone ITV/five's main switchboard and explain what you are looking for. If they have a suitable show planned, maybe your footage will end up on it? But knowing how the industry works, it is very unlikely, and you will spend a lot of effort trying to find a market. It may be easier to post video to youtube and let people make up their own minds?

I hope I have posted this in the right place.

My issue is that I stayed in a terrible hotel which was so bad that I have reported it to environmental health and the tourist board but the arrogance of the owners is unreal and I can't get a refund. I have fished around and google shows that the hotel is owned by a couple of people of dubious reputation. I want to take it further and my question is, does anyone know how to contact someone who makes these TV programmes like "Holidays from Hell"? I know plenty of staff in the hotel who would like to blow the whistle and lots of disgruntled guests.

    Thanks on advance.

You said in a later post that you weren't reporting them to get on TV however this OP completely contradicts this. You are asking how to get on these type of shows!!

Please correct me if I have misread your OP.

You then go on to say that you can't name and shame or give any details about your stay.

My question is - What the F do you actually want!??

As I stated - there are plenty of sites where you CAN name and shame - but you seem reluctant to do that.

It just seems very iffy IMHO. Either point us in the direction of your review of the hotel or even others reviews on Tripadvisor.

If you can't do that then stop being a stupid attention seeking troll!!

No, they are asking how to contact the shows to report a story they might find interesting. At no point did they say they would want to appear themselves.

Maybe you should take heed of your own words.

I think that's harsh, to me it seems that the OP is unclear about what they want. Or at least, not very good at getting their point across.

Everyone needs a bit of attention now and then.

Good luck with your campaign, OP, against a hotel that you can't name that did something that you can not explain.

You have misread it. At no stage did I say I wanted to be on TV.

Sorry that my reluctance to prejudice my legal proceeding has frutrated you so much.
Everyone needs a bit of attention now and then.

What possible attention have I gained from this. What a silly thing to say.
    .

Okay let me say this again slowly so some more of you may understand....

It is my opinion that I have been conned by the owners of a hotel and that they owe me money. I posted a review of the hotel on Trip Advisor but it was removed because I mentioned the owner's name. I have spoken to staff at the hotel who have said that the owner asks them to write fake revies of the hotel. I have informed Trip Advisor of this.
I am taking the owner to court and have been advised not to do or say anything which could prejudice my case. This includes posting abot the owner on a forum as it wouldn't take a genius to rwork out who I was. Obviously waiting for the case to be heard is frustrating so I thought that if I tipped off a TV investigator anonymously it may get the ball rolling and prevent anyone else being conned.
THAT is what I asked or. I didn't realise that by asking a question on the vent board you must give full and frank disclosure for your reasons behind it and satisfy the curiosity of any poster who reads your thread even if that disclosure jeopardises your legal case.
Please accept my sincere apologies for asking the question and be assured that I get plenty of attention elsewhere in my life which negates the necessity to seek it anonymously on the internet.

So you're not prepared to name an hotel on an ANONYMOUS forum, as it may prejudice your legal proceedings but you want to talk to TV producers about doing a massive expose on the hotel. But you were prepared to name the hotel on the UK's largest hotel review site. Yep, sounds completely logical to me. Have you got your tinfoil hat on today?

I am sorry this is proving too hard for you to understand. :)

I do not want to name the hotel on here and desribe my experience because, anonymous or not, this site has a huge readership and if I named the hotel and the specific issues I had I could clearly be recognised as the guest taking them to court if anyone who knew them or worked for them read the posts.

I do not see how a tv programme exposing the hotel without mentioning my name presents the same risk.

I named the hotel when I did a review on Trip Advisor but it was removed as I have said. That was before I decided to take the owners to court.

I understand you are annoyed because I won't spill the beans but honestly there is no need to resort to name calling. :)
