Asda, Tesco and Morrisons

I prefer sainsburys, find it good value, especially own brand stuff.

I think a lot depends on how familiar you are with the stores too - we have Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons all close by. My preference is Morrisons, followed by Tesco (because I know where everything is in the store and I can plan my shop on its special offers) then Asda/Sainburys. I know Asda should be cheaper, but somehow I always end up spending loads every time I shop there!

I use Sainsburys, i tend to buy alot of home brand items (some basics too as the can be very good).
I have tried to shop in Tesco' but find them very expensive.
Although i do get my sister to add 2 things to her tescos shop every month.
1 x bottle of tesco's pure fabric conditioner and a bottle of value lemon squash!

I was comtemplating trying a tesco's online shop as they have just emailed a £10 off £50 spend but not so sure i'll use it.

I shop at all the supermarkets, discount stores, cash and carry, and the market, and hardly ever pay full price for anythig. My food shopping is very cheap because I cherry pick, so I can't say which supermarket is the cheapest. I lean towards Tesco because it is nearest.

We don't have Morrisons over here. Asda and Sainsburys are few and far between, bloomin Tesco monopoly, who by the way I find the most expensive.

The Asda closest to us, we'd either have to get 2 buses to, or a taxi at a fiver each way, so we go to Tesco, because we can walk there and back.

If I had my way I'd go between Asda and Morrisons, I think they are the cheapest.

I do have an Aldi very close to my house. Sounds like it will come in handy. I go past Morrisons on the way home from work and the 2 Asda stores are not that far away. Although the closer one doesn't have as good a range as the one slightly further away.

Guess I will be shopping between the three.

I use Sainsbury's even though the Tesco is closer as I find I pay slightly more, and get much higher quality. ASDA is way to far away and I've no idea where the nearest Morrisons is, though there are whispers of them building one a few hundred yards away going around.

I'd love an Aldi or Lidl. Lucky for me our nearest is the co-operative, so I can cherrypick the good deals, whoopsies and ethical goodies. We're also round the corner from a proper high street with the butcher, greengrocer, DIY store, weigh- and- save place.... Next nearest supermarket is Sainsbury's, other side of town is Morrison's. Sometimes I get to go there as a treat :rotfl: - we don't have a car.

One thing never fails to amaze me: the price of meat in supermarkets, even that on offer. Our butcher is so much cheaper

I just done a price comparison using the site mentioned many times, And ASDA worked out £13.49p cheaper than the other's for what I buy.

Some items in ASDA were dearer than TESCO, BUT over all the basket was cheaper in ASDA and I will be going there tomorrow ! BUT I am thinking shall I get the cheaper items that are in tesco from tesco? OR would that not be worth my time in fuel? They are the same distance away from my home just the opposite ways.. hmm decisions

I'm all for money saving, but do you really have that much spare time on your hands?
