Selling car, buyer pulls out

So what your saying blacksta that as a buyer you can effectively go around to as many people as you like saying you'll buy their car, heres a deposit. Securing lots of cars that sellers can no longer offer for sale then you can just change your mind and the seller should hand the money back!!
Its this kind of behaviour that really !!!!es me off with ebay, where some mug bids and wins several items then doesn't complete on the ones they don't want. Sorry but the buyer in this instance has said he can't afford it, he should have thought of that BEFORE parting with a deposit.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
?? I havnt sold the car0

so a reservation is refundable?
like if you pay to reserve a table at a restraunt then dont turn up and expect your money back?
depends if the deposit is none refundable.pitkin2020 wrote: »Just seen you sold the car, so he can't pay you the remaining balance as you no longer have the car lolyou have lost me completely . I thought you said you havent sold the car , do you mean u sold to another buyer in which case i think it would be better to refund the deposit
i doubt he's sold it, he only got told off the first person today so i'm guessing he means he's selling it to fund another project and spent the money on the new project... Which is a bit silly as the buyer could turn up and if it isn't as described he'd be entitled to his deposit back0 -
no i mean the reson i sold the car was to fund my project, which the £100 has been sunk into already0

so you mean the reason you are selling the car, not sold!!! you keep saying sold adding to the confusionEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

So, to the OP, if you paid a £500 deposit to a garage to 'reserve' a car then couldn't go ahead with the purchase you would be happy to lose the £500?0
