Can't pick just one, but can narrow it down to the top 3
Kenwood Chef, Combi Oven and my breadmaker. With their combined assistance I turn into . . . . . . . . . .

jojo thank you for the info on your ricer. The mash sounds lovely
I switched to ideal shopping today and they were showing a kenwood chef that cooks. I would never buy one as I prefer my assorted pots and pans. Would you ever be tempted? It costs a massive £9990 -
I've got 3 as well, my kitchenaid, rice cooker and potato ricer. I love kitchen gadgets but I'm trying had to resist any new ones as kitchen is too small for anything else.

Not really a kitchen gadget but I've just bought a heated clothes airer and am trying not to use the tumble dryer. So far I like it a lot: lovely smell of clean clothes, gentle warming up of the room its in and , best of all, a really smug feeling about not using the tumble dryer. Apart from the remoska and my wonderful new prseeure cooker I think my all-time favourites are my three very sharp knives and my amazing new ability (can't think how it happened) to keep them sharp with the old steel I never used to use.0

I bought a waffle maker from Lidl a few weeks ago and gave it its first airing this morning. It's not a must-have gadget by any means but it's fun and the waffles turned out lovely.0

Morning all, I've been given £50 in Amazon vouchers for a present. Normally I'd leave them where they are and use them for Christmas presents, however as Christmas is a long way off I thought I'd treat myself instead.
What old-style/downshifty/self-sufficient thing would you recommend buying? Obviously I don't have to spend all of it but other than books, which I have a houseful, my mind is blank. I though of a jampan, but I seem to be having success using a large saucepan so no point in that, then I thought of gardening stuff, I may yet revisit that idea. Or maybe something pretty for the house? Then I decided it definitely has to be useful, not just pretty. And that's as far as my decision making got. To me it's a vast amount of money to have to spend on non-essentials, so I don't want to waste it.
Ideally I'd like to use it to pay my electricity bill but that seems to be the one thing you can't do on Amazon!!
Any good, even off the wall ideas?
Thanks

Hi downshifter,
The one thing I wouldn't like to be without in my kitchen is my stick blender so if you don't have one of those it may be worth thinking about. Or what about replacing tired baking trays or using it for storage containers?
