Savings diaries on this board

Malik, the only reason I know who you are is your snarky comments on other peoples threads. Otherwise I wouldn't know who you are.
And your fake saving thread (and Darkpool's) in relation to this bit of common sense by MSE Andrea is a case in point.
You don't like blog/diaries. And I get that. But others do. Can you get that? and get over it? Instead of poking fun like a play ground bully?
Surely there are threads here for everyone. Although I must admit I won't go back to the 'What interest will I get on 3K' thread as I felt like I wanted to bang my head on the wall. So I assume you feel that way about diaries. So, don't read them and no head banging?0 -
Why some posters feel the need to belittle others is beyond me, I think it says more about them than the OPs.
They demand everyone listens to their view and because they are unable to get their own way they disrupt others threads and are now starting 'joke' threads which only serve to demean.
They remind me very much of little children stamping their feet because they cannot get their own way.
I'm also surprised at some of the posters who are actually supporting them in their actions. MSE is all about providing a welcoming, supportive, non-judgemental environment for expereinced and less experienced people to post; to recieve opinions, information, support, or congratulations; to reaffirm their course or to reconsider their course.
I understand that these antagonists don't like it but I'm sure they are intelligent people and are able (if they try) to just ignore the threads they are not interested in.
If they need some assitance picking up their toys and putting them back in their prams I can spare Sunday afternoon to help.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

So, what do all you diary savers want? Approval, admiration, a group hug everyday when you put some money in your money box?0

The answer is in the previous postMSE is all about providing a welcoming, supportive, non-judgemental environment for expereinced and less experienced people to post; to recieve opinions, information, support, or congratulations; to reaffirm their course or to reconsider their course.I came, I saw, I melted0 -
The answer is in the previous post
Some areas of MSE may be about "support, or congratulations", but it will not fit well in the "Savings & Investments" board. People come here for answers and opinions involving complicated situations.....not to get their back patted for saving an extra fiver in their money box this week.0 -

what happened to my saving blog? i was getting ready to tell people about what i bought for my lunch!!!
I was going to buy a Subway for £2.99 today, seen the long que and opted to go to TESCO Express and buy a sandwich for £1.05. £1.94 SAVED :money: But the lottery till catches my eye, so, i spent another 6p, financed out of my emergency fund, together with the £1.94 i saved, and bought a Euro lottery ticket. I've heard i'm in with a very, very good chance to win £166,000,000 tomorrow.
i'll just have to start another one.
Yep, you'll have to start over again and hope the people who are most in favour of savings blogs don't target you and hit the "Report" button at the bottom, again.0 -
