  • Hi I today have been visited by a rep from Lancashire Interior home designs. Not sure if this company is linked in any way but I too was asked for a £100 cash deposit. I told the rep that I didn't have the cash so he agreed to a cheque, but wanted me to make it payable to him? When questioned he said make it out for the company then and it will just take me a few weeks to get my money? Sorry but not my problem.... Cheque or nothing. The quote he gave me was unbelievable even with everything included for £1250... I did say on several occasions that when something seems to good to be true it usually is. He seemed genuine enough, but when I said a friend was on his way and he might be interested he got a bit edgy and disappeared before he turned up... Think I'm right to be nervous and will be writing to the company and asking my bank to cancel the cheque tomorrow. If this company is not linked in any way then it's my loss, but I will always question anyone who asks for cash deposits in this day and age!

Due to these companies employing people in Indonesia who spam internet forums all the time, I've got to know a bit about these guys.

They all seem to be hosted on one server: 77.243.190.55
Which is owned by M247 in Manchester. I've contacted them to see if they can help.

In total she owns 258 domains. 219 of them are about kitchens.

    These people are scammers!
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?
  • Do not buy from the companies listed above unless you have a highly skilled and very patient fitter.

Because of missing, wrong and damaged parts, it has taken over 2 weeks to fit our kitchen. It should have taken 4 days !

The original kitchen was delivered in the 15th, 2 days before we went on holiday. It's now the 31st (my daughters birthday, we've had to cancel her party) and the kitchen's still not done.

To cut a long story short if you buy from any of these companies, you will get whatever shoddy, ex-display, bankrupt stock, end of line crap they've bought recently. I believe some people when they say they've been lucky. They certainly have !

I have tried to be nice to their customer service people, but after phoning them for the tenth time this morning, to be told I was "nit picking" over the colour of the oven (ordered stainless steel front, black glass delivered) I have had enough.

Has anyone taken these idiots court and won ? We're skint, but if there's a chance of success I'll pay the legal fees and get them held to account.
  • I have just read your comments thankfully before I placed an order with them. I have a rep coming on Friday but will try to cancel them before they turn up!
Failing that I will tell be letting them know we have read these comments and therefore will not be proceeding!
    Thanks everyone!!:j
  • Hi I have been the recipient of spam adverts from this company many times, fed up with this , I have added a sticky to the forum rules stating that every advert placed is charged a £10000 a day, not sure if it would stand up in court if I were to pursue a claim, but it's worth it for the pure shock in the voice of the office staff when I ring them to tell them they owe me £10000 for a day's advertising.
This is the wording on my forum From today 9th October2012 any advertising placed on this forum from a trading company or that shows links to a trading company, will be charged a fee of £10000 per day. Submission of an advert will be taken as acceptance of these new terms and will be charged from the moment the advertisement is placed.

If an advert is removed within 24 hours, the company shall be charged for a whole days advertising at the previously agreed price of £10000.

Invoices will be raised at the end of every week and payment is required within 7 days of invoice.

There are no exceptions to the charges and these terms.

As previously stated, submission of any advertising with any trade links will be taken as acceptance of these terms and will charged accordingly.
  • Hi,

Much the same to other customers, I purchased a kitchen from Kitchens Uber, I booked in a design appointment with the salesman Nick, his number is 07975809921, and was sold a kitchen for £1096, I paid the £100 deposit as he assured me I could claim it back within 7 days if I changed my mind.

I bought the kitchen as it had a "lifetime guarantee" but after reading up on the company and how it is a scam, I doubt that is true at all. Should've gone to Ikea!!

My builder signed off the delivery and all ordered parts were present so paid the remainder. A few days later it came to light that the carcasses were all basically pieces of MDF and a jigsaw puzzle for the builder, he was not happy with the quality of the materials either - and they were a pale lilac colour as well!

I know have all the units installed as per the plan and have 8 large panels left over, an extremely long panel that barely fits in my living room and the cornices which did not have fixtures to attach to the units.

I've called the company, emailed them and called Nick but not had any response.

I was missold extra materials to the tune of £400 and want my money back. The materials are sat here in their bubble wrap gathering dust and I don't know what to do with them!

    What can be done?
  • Hi,

This is really weird but I had a call from an unknown number and answered it and the woman said she was from Lancashire Interior Home designs and responding to my email form November 14th! She has agreed for the materials to be picked up and exchanged for a magic corner. It was either that or £140 store credit with the company. I will post up again after to see what happens when they come to collect on the 19th (I have to be in and that's when I next have time off work). I asked for her number to call back if I need to and she gave me 01254 457 967. I also asked if she could show me what else I could get instead as she mentioned store credit and she gave me the website solidwoodkitchens.co.uk and said it was their show room website and the only one they have working at the moment!!
I emailed this address if that helps anyone else: lancashireinteriorhomedesigns@gmail.com

How weird is it that she called me this afternoon!!
  • I to have had a problem with Kitchen Uber/Kitchen Design Lancashire but having read all the comments feel like I got off lightly. Having given £100 deposit to the guy/Designer I waited for my delivery. The Kitchen was delivered on time by 1 man (in a hurry) in a transit. I was told I must check at least 3 of the boxes to make sure the contents were correct which I did under the watchful eye of the very busy in a hurry delivery man. (no pressure then). Having been handed the final invoice I paid the balance which to my surprise was only £400. After talking to my husband it was clear they had made an error which I was happy to rectify. I had a fitter booked for the next day so delayed the phone call to Kichen Uber just to make sure all was ok.(very very pleased I did) Wrong extractor fan, wrong sink, faulty tap,no pre drilled holes,no screws at all,no carcass or door or end panel to house boiler and no soft closing for the doors. The kitchen I ordered was black high gloss on the outside, the inside of the doors were white which were covered in black marks which I cannot remove. Once i was informed by the fitter I rang customer service who were at first please to hear from me because by know the had realised their error in under charging me. To cut a very long story short I had to replace all that was wrong and pay the fitter I booked for 2 days and pay for him to return amounting to over £600. Having made over 13 phone calls and like everyone else left of hold the longest being 40 minuets I gave up. At the beginning of March 2014 they sent me a letter advising me they were going to take me to court if I did not paid the remaining balance within 7 day. I sent a recorded letter back to Kichen Design Lancashire, 447 Chorley Road,Swinton. Manchester M27 9LQ outlining all the calls all the mistakes. This whole experience was very stressful and still ongoing I hope this post helps others and good luck to you all. One last thing I made a note of all calls there duration and what was said.

Cheap Kitchens but Terrible After Service

I unfortunately didn't know about these reviews and have used Kitchen Uber/Kitchen Design Lancashire. I am happy with the kitchen that I have even though you will need to pay your installer additional time as the units do not come with guide holes etc and go to B&Q to purchase missing parts.

My kitchen had missing parts and it took over 5 weeks and many many hours on the phone to rectify. This is absolutely ridiculous, the staff do not know what they are doing. I was told the parts would be out in a few days then to be told they hadn't left. It's no use complaining as apparently the Customer Service Manager doesn't speak to customers!!! What I ask is the person there for??!! This is probably compounded by the fact that they don't have any computers is all paper based.

On checking this company out I have found another forum on Trustpilot (I'm unfortunately not able to post the link as I'm a new user) which has a large amount of very positive reviews posted in quick succession which I assume is a way of Kitchen Uber trying to detract from the negative image that have online and could easily lead unsuspecting people into purchasing their kitchens.

If everyone who has posted on here places a review then the service will decrease from 71.9% excellent...yes that's 71.9% of posts thought Kitchen Uber were excellent I kid you not. Please place a post onto this web site

In summary I would only recommend Kitchen Uber if you are under no timescale to complete your kitchen, don't mind going out to B&Q to get missing parts as yours have been out of stock for weeks and don't get stressed from spending hours on the phone chasing and speaking to rude customer service staff
