Two posts about half an hour apart. Cynics might suspect that you are two shills for the company. Surely no-one would stoop so low.
I also like the fact that they have only made one post each and never anything else on the forum0 -
I found this company on google (Kitchensuber) and sent a request for a designer to come out to a new flat I am purchasing. They called me back (friday gone) and arranged for an appointment this Friday. Yesterday (monday morning) I received a blanket email from Martin Sersen telling me that someone had told him I was looking for a new kitchen and directed me to solidwoodkitchen. I am shopping around for the best price so I contacted solidwoodkitchen in order to arrange a design visit from them (not realising they are the same company). They rang me this morning and after googling the number found the kitchensuber website and this forum (I also realised it was the same number that rang me from kitchensuber). About 10 minutes after the call from solidwoodkitchens (the customer sales person told me that name this morning) she called again and told me that I appear to have to appointments made confirming that it is the same company.
I am not going to say that their kitchens aren't of a good quality or that their drivers run of without letting you check their items as I don't know but I do know that I am not going to trust a cash based company operating under multiple names that as far as I can tell took the details I gave them on kitchensuber and attempted to redirect me to another of their websites (quite possibly because they realise that kitchensuber has a bad reputation).0 -
I placed an order with KITCHENSUBER but my invoice is for INTERIOR HOME DESIGNS OF ROSSENDALE. I had to pay cash at the door when the items were delivered and £100 cash in hand to a designer who forgot to include or order the door which covers the extractor, so I had to go out and buy a stainless steel one. He ordered and charged for three end panels when one was needed, two larder end panels when one was needed and three plinths when two were needed. So a complete waste of my money!.
End panels, cornices and plinths were scratched when plastic coverings were removed.
My kitchen arrived via a very nice courier who took great care to see everything was
included and ticked off on my list .
IT WAS WHAT WAS UNSEEN WHICH WAS THE PROBLEM!
The carcasses are without a shadow of a doubt seconds or returns.!!! They were unboxed and bagged together in bubble wrap. When opened the 600mm sink carcass and its connecting 1000mm corner carcass had no markings or holes for cams and cam pins. They were not included anyway! Well why include them if there is nowhere to put them!!
We had to go to B&Q and buy two replacement carcasses because the phone was on a loop and no one bothers to answer the phones.
At least half of the cams and cam pins were missing for the wall units which did have most of the fixing holes in place. No indents or marks for the hinges in the doors. The drawer fronts were small doors with no way of fixing them to the drawers.
The list goes on and on. If I end up with a decent kitchen it will because I have a good fitter who is literally tearing his hair out!0 -
PS :It is impossible for us to open every package. The courier would need to wait around two hours while each and every package is examined, not to mention the extra space needed to do so. The items inside of each package should be, and are expected to be in perfect and useable condition0

On 2th October, alllan Kerr from this firm - so called designer came and measured my kitchen for new appliances and fully fitted kitchen. he gave a delivery date of 5th November. The delivery driver did indeed come with the delivery. He checked off th boxes with the list he had. Everything appeared to be okay. When the joiner arrived to build the cabinets etc, on opening the boxes every box was missing at lest one section. Missing items account for more than half of the kitchen.
Mr Martin Sersen, allegedly aka Vance Miller hs been a conmerchant who keeps changing trading names. I have been promised weekly deliveries as thy only deliver to Scotland on A monday. In total I have now spent 47 Hours and 23 minutes on hold and on discovering a number of oth copies besides with the
Same phone number, I have no choice but to claim my runs I full plus costs for emotional stress, th amount of money I have ha to spend o take away food as we have no cookig facilities. Why has this charter never been caught before. s man is a disgrace, some other names ar Simply kitchens, uberekitchens and solidwoodkichens.co.uk. Surely google or some web directory services should also be advised of this man and th huge SCAM that he is running. Channel 5 Rogue Traders programme have also been advised of this man and when I spoke with them they said they have had numerous complaints regarding these companies and will also be investigating.0 -

Not only did they save almost £650 from another companies quotation but they have totally revamped the room they use the most in the house. They had a few problems with being on hold when dealing with their telesales advisers but the kitchen itself is great. I feel for the people who have had misfortune with their kitchens, but it seems the company are doing something right recently.

Total claims:6 Kitchen Units - units do not go together - no refund, rude, aggresive » Oct 2011 01/12/2011 4
All the info below has been going on since Oct 2011 - Bought kitchen, sales rep all seemed fine etc, delivered all fine,£1000 gone ! when it came to putting it together, units didn't line up, screw holes not matching, screws kept breaking, parts backs etc didn't fit, had marks/scuff, gaping holes and generally just crap ! Phoned sales rep, he came round and agreed it was crap, said call customer services - after dozens of calls, being put on hold, cut off after a 30 / 47 minute on hold !, called / chased/ hounded rep, they ended up sending surveyor round who again agreed said a refund would be sorted, (quoted Sales of goods act, etc at them all) then week later had a call from "Becky" stating that no refund as hadnt had a chance to rectify problem, my only choice was another kitchen ! By this time (late November) I had borrowed money on c'card and brought one from magnet ! Said OK and asked for another to be delivered - delivery came he wouldnt wait and let us check it the delivery driver (think he was from the co.) got the office on the phone straight away (funny that !) they said he couldnt wait ! with that he went ! Not holding my breath - will prob end up flogging kitchen as seconds on ebay to try and get some money back ! £1000 down and counting ;-( 6 weeks+ and couting - AVOID KITCHEN UNITS - KITCHEN UBER - JUST KITCHEN - SIMPLY KITCHENS and the names Martin Sersen / Vance Miller0 -
I have just got round to fitting the kitchen supplied by Rossendales only to discover:
The man who came out has totally measured it wrong so nothing fits, luckily my joiner is excellent and has worked around it, however we then discovered the unit tops are too short!
The top cupboards don't fit so they have rearranged it to fit however this has meant losing a cupboard.
The drawer bottom don't are too small so everything will fall out
They are scratches on the cupboards
The sink doesn't fit as the 'designer' hasn't taken into account it is a double sink
One cupboard only opens so far due to the way the 'designer' has taken the measurements
I have two wine racks to fill a gap - I have discovered they both don't fit
It is all very well to say return it but initially it looked rectifiable - false optimism on my part and pure desperation at managing the get the kithcen and the joiner at the same time haivng already gone three weeks without a kitchen
I tried to call today to be on the phone for 20mins (15mins on hold) to be cut off. I finally got back through on my dinner break (not how I wish to spend my very little free time) onyl to be told they would send the missing bit - this swon't work as it will mean an unsightly join. I was told I could have the extra biut with no refund. I could have a credit note to ultimately buy more poor quality useless items. My mother in law up afterwards after seeing the distress it is causing me to be told she could have a refund at the discounted price. Great you may think but now I have the chore of getting another supplier and arranged another delivery day and delaying the joiner from his next job. Since then I have discovered that drawers (which I believe the website states they would be made up?) have bases which are too small.
I haven;t even tried the cooker yet and to be honest I think I may be too scared to do so and I really am losing the will to live with it.
My mission now is to make sure EVERYONE knows what a useless, poor, unhelpful, dire and utter pile a rubbish this company is!
If anyone knows the best way to go about this other than facebook posts, word of mouth and avoiding getting myself arrested please let me know.0 -
