Coffee seems a steal at 47p, might taste horrid tho!, and the flour is only 51p. Marmalade 27p , so a very cheap breakfast could be made! Gonna try the ketchup today, as my boy virtually drinks it!
The value frying chips are 60p instead of £1.25, got 2 bags to try.

The ketchup is pretty good, we have it and its a little bit runnier than the "posh" brands but tastes ok. We go through it like it goes out of fashion, I woul dnever afford the "posh" brands all the time

Had a quick look round my two tesco's today, Bedford goldington no bubble bath or shampoo left and nappy bags (100's) going through at 25p. Bedford Cardington nappy bags going through at 25p and there was one bottle of shampoo left on the shelf for 8p and no bubble bath. In both stores the SEL were 8p for shampoo and 5p for the bubble bath.

  • had a look round chelmsford store yesterday but someone had cleared them out of all the value baby stuff! Did buy some value normal shampoo though as the kids use far too much of my decent stuff!
Anyway, I buy the ketchup as my kids get through loads too, but I pour it into a heinz squeezy bottle, makes it soo much easier as the value stuff is in a glass bottle and can be difficult for the kids to pour- they either get none of their food ends up swimming in it!
  • Not a value item but I also bought some 'simply sensitive powder tabs' (non bio washing machine tablets, 15 washes) as they were RTC at £1.52. Don't know if they are any good but will try them anyway
  • another cheetham hill-er :D.that's my (very) local T too but don't think i've ever seen anyone else mention it on here!
I use cheetham hill t's as well :D although I do prefer prestwich as there more accomodating with all my coupons:rotfl:

Paid a visit to Tesco Extra Pitsea today. No Bubble bath left but there is the shower gel. Packs of 300 nappy bags were SEL 30p but scanned at 27p ok so not 4p a 100 but still worth getting whilst in stock. Plently of the Dasiy Kitchen & Bathroom cleaner on the shelves as is the 15p per pk of 16 Paracetamol.
