Just checked mine and its on the list.. tells you to phone customer helpline... shame that after the automated service there is no one there to speak to you, they just disconnect you instead.0

Tried this for the past 30 minutes - it tells you to go to their website and check your model number, and then if yours is one affected, you can hold on. What it actually does is disconnects you. Absolute rubbish. The website is down, the normal customer service number is constantly engaged.
I would like to know why Beko did not inform me of this fault, as I registered my warranty with them when I purchased the item.
Needless to say I wont be buying Beko again.0 -
thing is what are we supposed to do ... take the fridge freezer to the tip.. just in case it catches fire. Cant believe Beko have announced this but done nothin to be there for the consumer.0

Just sent this email to my local trading standards, will update if / when I get a response
I have a CDA 539FW Beko Fridge freezer that is on their list of affected freezers. I bought it from over a year ago.
However, I cannot proceed with getting the potentially lethal problem fixed as there is no sticker with a serial number and I can't proceed without one. The website tells you to phone their hotline number if this happens.
I've tried phoning their number, but there is a fault on the line. After the recorded message telling you to hold if you need to talk to someone, the line goes dead. Have tried a few times now and this has happened every time. How is anyone without access to the internet, like my elderly Mum expected to find help?
So now I'm stuck with a potentially dangerous appliance that I'm unable to unplug at night, located under our bedroom. Am really worried.
Not happy that this is a nationally recognised problem & Beko's systems to fix it have failed. I even waited until today as I guessed they'd be inundated when the story broke yesterday!
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks in anticipationWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

In the end, I found it was on a label inside the fridge compartment.0 -
I had 2 of these letters today (I only have one BEKO appliance), my fridge freezer appears to be one of the affected models. But like the rest of you, I cannot get through on the helpline.
It's strange because I had a voicemail message on Monday regarding my Bosch dishwasher and a possible faulty component in certain models. I went to the website and mine isn't an affected model.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
I have been trying to get through alday yesterday and today - it just cuts dead and they now tell you on a recorded message that they cant take the call. Its a joke, im away from tomorrow for five days and want to get it booked in for a repair before I go away (not get the repair done just the appointment booked)0

Nice to know that Bosch has the decency to try and contact customers0

Yep ive just had the same... they are experiencin high volumes of calls and cannot deal with my enquiry at this time... what a surprise.0

but if everyone is getting that message and I have everytime I have tried to ring today then who are they speaking to/doing?0
